I just had Headline News on and they were talking about a mass shooting somewhere in the U.S.A.A 60 year old guy dressed in a suit walks into a Wendy's and opens fire hitting a bunch of people,killing one as well as killing himself.

The guy that was killed was a paramedic on lunch break with his family.He was already in the parking lot getting ready to leave in his car and he discovered the promotional toy in the kiddy meal was the wrong toy.He walks in to the Wendy's to return the toy and gets murdered.

Talk about bad luck!

Maybe USC, but you don't see these guys going to police stations to engage in a gun fight. I think a lot of what Shark was saying is accurate. These sick phucks are desperate for attention, and are looking to commit acts in such a way as to garner media coverage. One solution would indeed be for the media to not glorify these killers (how much press did the NIU and VT shooters get, with no attention at all paid to their victims?). Another solution would be to actively prevent them from being able to commit multiple acts of violence, which can only be done through being armed and trained currently.

That said, I can certainly see your point that if everyone were strapped (with the IQ and judgment of the average American), we'd have 100X as much violence. Interesting discussion, and I'm obviously unsure of the best course of action.
