Default **'s Monday Night and Tuesday Tennis With Brief Writeups (Feel free to chime in!)

    Monday Night:

112 X. Malisse +127 (I like the dog here. Ginepri is way to inconsistent to be a favorite.)

132 L. Hewitt -168 (I usually don't go with big dogs, but defending champ Hewitt should beat Mr. Potential Safin easily.)

    Tuesday:

12 O. Rochus +168 (I think Rochus is playing well this season. He might be back on track to reaching the form he had a few years ago. I think the value lies with the dog against the tricky, saavy Nieminen.)

13 J. Tipsarevic -131 (Strictly a value play. I capped Tips at -175. I think hes the better player. I never like backing Lopez against non americans.

15 G. Monfils +275 (If Monfils is healthy he can beat anyone. Health has always been the concern with this French youngster. He hasnt played a match in 2008 so he might be rested for this tough one vs Berdych.)

26 J. C. Ferrero +225 (Roddick such a huge favorite against JCF? No way bro! Ferrero will make things tough on Andy away from the states.)

29 M. Nader +850 (I never heard of Nader or his opponent. But unless this match is fixed there is no way his opponent should be a -1050 favorite. Hell hes ranked 177th in the world. I'll throw a unit on this for value alone.)

31 P. Kohlschreiber +260 (Federer has already lost, so why can't Nadal? Kohly plays him well. I'm surprised hes such a big dog. Play the value here!

I actually like Ginepri. He's played well in his last two tournies while Malisse hasn't played alot. Definitely on Rochus. Great value there. Thanks for the info as usual!

    My pleasure.

    Ginepri/Malisse has just begun!

Good match. Ginepri was able to rally and win in 3 after getting his butt kicked in the 1st set. Took a small play on Safin just for the F of it at +160. He'll probably throw up a double bagel!

Malisse choked this one away. Was terrible on serve in the final 2 sets.

    I need Hewitt now.

Yep. Safin's career is pretty much shit now.

Kohlschreiber definitely has some value but I think I'll just stay away from that match.

    Rochus comes through

Zi Yan +340 over Maria Kirilenko. Match starts at 11:30 am ET

Some real tough losses with Tipsarevich and Kohly in 3 sets.

If JCF wins I still come out ahead....

    on to Vegas....

102 D. Sela +242 (I dont like Gonzalez's form right now. He's the better player of the 2, but hes not at his best now. He should not be this big a favorite.)

106 J. Isner -116 (Huge serving American, playing in America, against a weak Falla. Home cooking here)

107 K. Anderson +204 (Another bad line. Lldora should not be favored by this much against anyone on the hard courts. Let alone this big of a favorite.)

116 M. Zverev -140 (I always play against Luczak when the favorite is less than -200.)

119 A. Delic +114 (Another American, playing at home as a dog, against a weak player in Melzer. Value with the underdog)

130 J. Bjorkman +167 (Bjorkman has been playing some great tennis lately. Benneteau is too inconsistent to be this big a favorite against a player in good form. Much value with the underdog)

You know what sucks? Yan won in 3 sets, but I got locked out of making the wager because the match started before the posted time at my book. Bum-****ing-er.
