    Came on with the Pirates in late 60s, early 70s, a big part of the 1971 World Series winners...then he Ankiel'd and couldn't find the plate. STATS

    Blass probably isn't too well known to younger fans, except for the fact his name did come up a few years back when discussing Ankiel's similar problem.
