Default Bet Jamica downgrade today?Good or Bad?

Do you like Bet Jamica's downgraded today to a A from A+ or do you prefer it to be lower. I think it should be a B+. Still a great site but too much hassle on Super Bowl and to wait around to put in bets and getting busy signals all day long.

Is the Grade A downggrade good or bad?

I'd have left it A+, A minimum. Yes it was the superbowl day, and that's unfortunate for them, but it's still maybe 12 hours downtime in a year...

I don't think that one extended outage should lower a great book's rating by 3 notches. 'A' seems appropriate to me.

I would have to agree with Santo. The tech problems that occurred yesterday were caused by a series of unfortunate and coincidental events and did not occur because of the game. The hard drive that runs the software, which could be called the engine, failed and the backup was corrupt.

On a normal day the book would have taken all wagers by hand until a new operating system drive was in place. Since it was the day of the bowl, the phone staff couldn't fully support the action which normally is mostly web based.

I am learning about the new backup system that is now in place. To put it in simple terms, there are backups of backups and backups of those backups.

I think Jam will regain its previous position shortly. BetJam has proven to have one of the best infrastructures that survives direct hits from hurricanes. This would have to be considered an isolated incident that happen to hit on the worst possible time.

agree with bill that they will be back up to A+ shortly, but this was a good wake-up call of sorts for them...

    agree with Pags....

But what is really good is SBR's credibility for doing something like that....took a lot of guts for SBR to do that...but I am glad they listend to me.

They are still a great book. I fully expect them to regain A+ status real shortly. Their current ranking is justified however.

Once you start down that slippery slope....

Oh, looks like they're A+ again. That was fun.

I wonder if I'm ever going to get a response to the email I sent CRIS.
