So far over 70 individuals have participated at least 1 time in the best bet thread. We get anywhere between 20-30 participants each day. I think it has been a success.

I'd like to thank Diogee and LK1 for helping out. Its not the easiest thing to grade and it does take some time.

Moving on, I will be implementing a few changes with baseball just around the corner....

1) Grading will not just be win/loss but I will also include UNITS won/loss along with your record.

For example: A -186 loser will be reflected as 0-1 -1.86 and a +186 winner will be reflected as 1-0 +1.86.

2) For the ATS plays that have already been graded, I will use a -105 grading scheme.

So if you are 10-5 with all ATS plays your record will show as 10-5 +4.75.

But from here on out (starting tomorrow, Monday) I will need you to post your juice along with the play.

So that means you should be posting Cavs -1 -108 or Nuggets +3 -110, etc.

If you do NOT leave the juice along with your play I will grade it as -110. So if you post Cavs -1 and they lose, your grade will be 0-1 -1.10

3) Moneyline Favorites will be allowed for BASEBALL and HOCKEY; But not for Basketball and Football. For those sports you will have to use ATS plays. If you don't I will not grade it.

Moneyline underdogs are always allowed for every sport and the units won will be reflected in your record.

Horse Racing Santa Anita Race 8 #11 Benchmark Kid to Win {1 Unit**. 5/2 on the morning line
Fundamentally there are two good reasons to why I like this filly today. First she draws the outside post and with a clean break figures to cross and clear this field. Secondly she is racing at a shorter distance then her last race in which she rated off a fast pace, pushed to the lead then finished evenly. This is my one and only bet of the day. A word on caution, Benchmark Kid has a woman rider who's OK but not the ideal for a big play. However she can deliver and her presence helps get a better price. I'm not that impressed with her competition after reviewing the videos of their last races
