I am extremely ill
Hello Everyone,
I'm not really sure why I am posting this. I need companionship I guess. I have been fighting a serious illness since I joined this forum. For a long time I was pretty much okay. I have bouts of feeling okay then feeling really bad...then feeling okay. I just got back from a trip to Tampa Bay and I am so sick. I am afraid and I cannot stop crying. I am 50 years old and I don't understand. I went to the emergency room, they don't know what to do for me. I feel so alone.

I am vomiting up bile nonstop. I have a very high fever. I have a cough that sounds like the bubonic plague. A gurgling sound comes from my lungs when I try to breathe. I cannot stop crying.

No booze, no milk products whatsoever.
Tea or anything hot should help.

I've been feeling sick for over 2 years now. I'm only 21. I feel like I have a fever all of the time, my eyes are messed up ( i see sparkles ), and I feel weak and tired 90% of the time. Doctor's could never find out what was wrong.
It makes it really hard to work and go to school. My head feels so messed up - I can't learn anything. I feel awful at work unless I'm moving around.
It sucks, as I'm trying to pay off $3000 in debt.
Anyways - I can relate to what youre going through, and I empathize.
Drink lots of water. Elevate your head when you sleep - and sleep on your back - a couple pillows will do the trick.
Try to tell yourself you're OK, and stay away from search engines if possible. Your anxiety will have you looking up every single symptom you have, and it magnifies everything. At least that was the case with me.
Hang in there buddy. Hope you feel better.

A serious illness that started in July 2007 is not pneumonia nor a change of climate virus. I suggest going to WebMD or sick help from a licensed physician. If it gets worse visit the ER immediately. You can only wait 9 months before it gets worse. I hope you get well soon.

Do not go to WebMD - you will come away having fifty + self-diagnosed conditions.
Go to a licensed physician, a family doc if you have one. Tell him EVERYTHING.

Curious I hope all improves. I too believe that you should see a doctor soon. Everyone has light moments on here, but one's health is something that should never be taken lightly. PM me if you want to talk further brother, and know that anything said will always remain confidential...

i second this advice, i'm a neurotic mess, and i used to go on webMD, and that site will make you think your more ****ed up than you are.
Curious i assume you have insurance, you need to get a CT scan of your chest, to rule out anything life threatening.
Iknow years ago when me and some friends went to florida in late Jan., when we left Ky. it was like 20 degrees with a wind chill in the teens, it was snowing here, and when we went through part of Tenn. we hit a ice storm and it was freezing. well by the time i got to the florida line it was like 55 degrees and the whole week we were down there it was in the 70's, i got sick about the 3rd day down there, i just assumed it was from the drastic weather change, some doc i went to gave me a shot and some antibiotics and i felt better.
GO see a doctor, if you don't like what he says, go see another.

I've been through a lot of hospital vistis with friends, family, and even myself. The worst thing to really do is just walk into the ER. The ER has mainly residents, who are learning, and have so much on their plate already, that you're just a number. You should really research online the best doctors in your area that specialize in breathing disorders, or even just a highly rated general practioner. To me, it sounds like what my mom was diagnosed with back in 2000. COPD. Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disorder. The gurgling of the lungs, the hacking croup cough, the trouble breathing, and the duration of how long you've actually been sick for makes me remember what my mom had to go through before she actually received her breathing medicine. Treat this like your capping. The way you'd spend all that time to cap your teams, cap the best local doctors the same way.
