You've already been given the correct advice (confidence) and you dismiss it immediately, and yet you consider his advice good? You're covering a bullet wound with a band-aid by taking this route. You obviously have confidence issues to take care of, and you will get nowhere lying for short term satisfaction.

Think about it, what attributes does the character described by MWC have that you wish you had and why would having these help get you laid? Simply put, you're hoping to fake confidence and success by using money/fake phone call and dressing up to be a business man.

You can show a women you are successful without being in charge of millions or dollars/firing/etc or without even looking like you are trying to. In a very general sense, try telling stories that portray these attributes to maximize the appearance of your strengths to the opposite sex. You have to believe you're the catch, and they are the one who is lucky to be talking to you.

As a few examples.. You've owned businesses, tell a funny story involving one of your employees. Talk about a crazy night in Vegas that you planned (or anywhere else you've been). Sprinkle these little details about yourself in the stories that you want her to pick up on (successful, confident, alpha male, etc) and you'll appear to be a lot less desperate, and probably won't have to resort to outright lying. She'll pick up that you were in charge of people, like to travel/have fun, or whatever you are trying to show her about yourself. The more subtle you are the better, you want her to make the connection from having employees->success, fun story->likes to have fun, etc, without appearing for that to be the intent.

In terms of confidence, it should be faked until you have it. It comes with practice and time. One day you'll be chatting up a 10 and realize you aren't faking confidence anymore, everyone is looking at you wishing they were you, and you are confident.
