Why would anyone want an office in that Country is beyond belief, real corporations are in major cities in the usa, when I see SBR offices in Newark or NY City then they have made it.

So does that mean that Joey Slats Fencing won't be opening up a Jacó Beach office any time soon?

Newark or New York? No thanks. I like CR. The speaking spanish part is tiring when your spanish is as bad as mine. But the near perfect weather makes up for it.

    Guys,

I have been to Costa Rica. The SBR "Marketing" office is across the street from the famous CR bordellos and it ain't marketing sport books if you know what I mean. If you look at the cream couch picture it looks more like an asian massage parlor.

I think the best way to describe a large portion of the females that inhabit Costa Rica would be "available, for a price".

Lots of girls from Colombia and other South American nations flock to CR to make a little pocket money off of gringos looking for fun.

Because the world is a smaller place these days and the U.S. is far from the only place or the best place to live...

If anyone gets a chance to read a book I just started, I highly recomend it. This will open a lot of peoples eyes about how the world is one global market now.

The World is Flat. A brief history of the 21st century.

Pick it up if you want to learn why the US isn't the top dog in the world any more.

Hmmm, just my opinion but I'd think you'd have to go back well before the start of the 21st century to really learn why the US isn't the global power it once was.

This is non-fiction reading. Maybe a little above your experience, but in case you didn't know, in non-fiction reading there is usually a lot of info spread across the entire book! There is no real cliff-hanger here and no surprise ending. I am sure after reading the first 25% of the book that I will enjoy the rest for it's content. And so will those that like reading this type of literature. So no, I don't need to get to the end to recommend the book for it's content. But if you would like, I will wait till the end and then come back and recommend it then. Now you can go back to reading your high quality literature like Hi-lights.

War and Peace by Leo Tolstoy is the book I challenge you to read. I'll see you next year when you finish.

    Adios!

Not as a global super power, but how technology has flattened the world and made the US so far behind financially, we might never catch up.

Did you know that a good percentage of our US income tax returns are processed in India? If you hire a decent sized accounting firm to do a simple tax return, that it is probably prepared in Bangalore.

MRI and Cat scans are viewed overnight for most US hospitals in this same region of India? These are just two of the many things that are now possible in the last decade with the digital age, that this book talks about. Things are changing fast and forever and we are not the ones making the changes. We are only learning to adapt after the fact.

I refuse to have a battle of wit with an unarmed person. I have read this and many other lengthy novels. Is this the longest one that you can think off? The Bible is another cover to cover reading that I have done. If anyone can get through these two, I wish them luck.
