Default Question concerning situation with Sportsbook.com

    Hey guys,
This is my first post here. So heres the situation. Sportsbook.com allows CC deposits to US players. What they do is put the CC deposits under a phone company name so when it shows on my CC bill it has the phone company name. So I normally deposit $20-$40 and everything went through fine. Now heres the interesting part. Recently I made two deposits of $200 each ($400 total). I lost all that money. Now xxxx xx xxxxxx, which owns my CC, saw the charges as a fraud since they know gambling sites sometimes use phone company names to have deposits go through. They now rejected those charges and now I dont owe the $400 on my CC. The only thing I am worried about is if sportsbook.com can do anything to try to get that $400 from me.

    thanks for the help

First off, Welcome to the SBR forum Scoot87

What the book will most likely do is put a freeze on whatever funds that are left in your account until you settle the matter.

I lost the $400 so my account balance with sportsbook.com is $0.

If you lost the money you owe the money. Simple.

Unless you want to start acting like sportsbook.com and stealing money. Not that a taste of their own medicine isn't good for them. Tell them their lines were correlated and your bank wouldn't honor it and therefore they forfeited the money.

They wont come after you. My buddy stiffed a book like $800 a year ago. Closed his checking before they could take it out. Some collection agency called for 2 weeks then stopped. Since online gambling is illegal, itd be like a dope dealer sueing you for smoking dope and not paying for it

That's a pretty small debit to be owed so maybe they will hire a midget to rough you up.hehe!I shouldn't laugh, have you ever seen midget wrestling?Pound for pound they are much stronger than full sized people.

Off on a tangent about little people here.Did you know that Australia banned dwarf tossing contests in bars and Minnesota banned freak shows at fairs because it was demeaning to unusual people.Geesh, now instead of making a ton of money off the deal, the unusual people can work for minimum wage thanks to the do gooder Hillary democrat socialists that think they know what's best for the dwarves and freaks!!!

Now a midget will have to get a job as a debt collector for Sportsbook.com and show up at your house and get beat up by you all because he wasn't allowed to be in a dwarf tossing contest.Damn democrats!!!!!!!!!

I "THINK" you left something out.... I am guessing here based on my experience with Sportsbook.com and the use of ************...

I don't believe the CC company just deleted the $400 because "THEY" recognized it and left it at that... It's my opinion that they called you, ask you about it, to verify it because they think it's fraud and you simply went along with it so they took it off your account...

My cc company ALWAYS calls me to verify the charge everytime a new company name comes up even though they are all those type of companies... If I don't authorize it they will remove it because they suspect fraud anyway that's why they are calling...if you do authorize it then they won't call you when the company you authorized is used...

Scoot, if you're feeling bad about stiffing SB.com--DON'T. If you must resolve this, send me the $400 and I'll deduct it from the 9 grand they stole from me.

There are some people in this thread, and on this site, that need some remedial education in basic right and wrong.

Don't worry they will just steal $400 from someone else to make up for it.

Your opinion might be different if you were ripped off by this outfit. SB deserves a taste of its own medicine.

Running a gambling operation and processing gambling transactions is.

Sportsbook.com's criminal syndicate will soon be coming to an end. Get your money out if you can.
