So far over 70 individuals have participated at least 1 time in the best bet thread. We get anywhere between 20-30 participants each day. I think it has been a success.

I'd like to thank Diogee and LK1 for helping out. Its not the easiest thing to grade and it does take some time.

Moving on, I will be implementing a few changes with baseball just around the corner....

1) Grading will not just be win/loss but I will also include UNITS won/loss along with your record.

For example: A -186 loser will be reflected as 0-1 -1.86 and a +186 winner will be reflected as 1-0 +1.86.

2) For the ATS plays that have already been graded, I will use a -105 grading scheme.

So if you are 10-5 with all ATS plays your record will show as 10-5 +4.75.

But from here on out (starting tomorrow, Monday) I will need you to post your juice along with the play.

So that means you should be posting Cavs -1 -108 or Nuggets +3 -110, etc.

If you do NOT leave the juice along with your play I will grade it as -110. So if you post Cavs -1 and they lose, your grade will be 0-1 -1.10

3) Moneyline Favorites will be allowed for BASEBALL and HOCKEY; But not for Basketball and Football. For those sports you will have to use ATS plays. If you don't I will not grade it.

Moneyline underdogs are always allowed for every sport and the units won will be reflected in your record.

This is different dude. It keeps a running record, not just daily. Also it is just one play, and is a competition between posters. A very fun competition at that.

I don't think he's questioning the concept. He is just giving proper credit to Illusion because, although there are minor differences in how the picks are tracked, Illusion does something much harder in tracking multiple bets per poster across different sports.

When I asked ** if he was aware that Illusion essentially does the same thread daily, he responded unsure of who I was referring to. I don't expect you or I would create this thread. In any case, whatever people enjoy I'm all for. I would just urge anyone who is mainly a Players Talk head to check out Illusion's threads also, because if you're into the whole "track my pick" concept, I'm sure you'd have some fun in his threads too.

proper credit? its just a pod thread for any sport. illusion runs his for the individual sports and obviously does a great job. imgv is doing more than trying to give 'credit', hes trying to be a pain and he's succeeding. nothing worse than someone stirring things up for no reason. man-drama.com is across the street.

Okay, I checked out Illusion's college best bet thread and I see people posting 3-8 best bets!! Hardly anyone posted just ONE best bet. And that was just for college hoops. This thread here is for your ONE best bet of the day....PERIOD.

I also see that he tracks how you did each day, but he doesnt keep the cumulitive standings.

I think there is a big difference between this thread and Illusion's.

Both are very positive threads for the SBR community.

There is actually a huge difference. In Illusiion's threads, people usually post all of their plays for that paricular sport each day. Also, do not forget xxx, who does the same for NHL. So those threads are useful for see everyone's basicaly full cards for that day.

This thread differs in that you only put in your ONE best bet from ANY sport around the world.
