Just be careful, it seems like the less you wager the easier it is to pick winners sometimes

kgrock, no one gives a SHIT about it. The ones in this thread stating otherwise are either stupid, liars or SBR shills trying to get it more popular.

Generally people who post that they are winning or are very hot tend to be squares b/c they don't know how to handle winning and just have to tell everyone....
I hope it's true but wouldn't be suprised if it isn't.

The fact that you are telling people how much you won is a novelty in and of itself on SBR....not sure if you noticed (1) people pick 10 straight winners regularly it's not impossible (2) this is going to hurt a lot but nobody really cares about your winnings.

I never got the whole auto-erotic fixation on the internet. Why do people care so much about what someone they'll never meet thinks of them?
SBR Founder Join Date: 9/26/2005
Here's a couple reasons you are a square and will eventually give the money back to the sportsbook:
1) You are bragging about how much you are winning....guys who win regularly don't make such a commotion
2) You are playing parlays
3) You are playing ridiculous money line favorites
4) You are varying your unit size on the parlays
As the saying goes, "you have to be nice to people on the way up because you are going to see them on the way back down"
Judging by your betting style...wouldn't suprise me the least bit if you ended up in the red by the end of the month.

buddybear i agree with you only to a certain point. varying your bet sizes is definitely a reason he may give all his money back, but you can still play parlays and win. I win a little bit and much of it comes from parlaying nba teams on the moneyline. I think if you can win with parlays stick to them. I'm not a good enough capper to win straight bets ats so i've had a lot of success with the parlays, mainly 2 or 3 teamers. some of the favorites kgrock played were in my opinion almost free money.
1. Seattle at Houston
Seattle's road Off. efficiency is not bad at 106 points allowed per 100 possessions, but their giving up an abominable 114 per 100 possessions on defense (on the road)
2. San antonio vs Golden state
I personally wouldn't have played this but kgrock's play can be justified. there are only 5 teams in the league who scores more points than it allows on the road. san antonio is one of them.
Dallas vs Seattle
I just mentioned seattle's horrid road stats above but even more impressive is Dallas efficiency at home. Dallas has an OE of 112 and a DE of 101.
Some of these plays make a lot of sense to me. Hopefully kgrock is actually looking at some of the numbers i mentioned above, but although some of these plays may seem ridiculously obvious, they are in my opinion free money, and they can pay off when used in parlays. just my opinion. good luck kgrock, but i suggest that you don't toggle with your bet size, you may wind up returning all your money if you continue to do that

Agree with your points BuddyBear. Not a parlay player myself, so not sure if you're referring to parlays only in point #4. But in singles variying bet size according to ml dog odds, and advantage situations where you have really solid information and confidense on certain plays, is really important to maximaze your bankroll growth and overall profit.

no raging on you here from me... if your plays are valid, and I have no proof that they aren't, then congrats... now post some picks prior to tipoff and we will all be obviously more impressed with a streak like this... just my two cents... ;-)Originally Posted by kgrock

kgrock, I apologize for these guys trying to rain on your parade. Truth is, anybody can open an account touting how they pick nothing but winners. Trust me, a new guy like you comes along almost on a weekly basis.
Post your picks before the games, and we'll be the judge on how you are doing. Even if you can pick the next 100 games at 53% ATS you'll get credit(yes post the spread, juice and book for every game you play). Personally, I hope you stay on the forum, post your next 100 picks and win your games. We can use all the sharp players we can find. But until you do, you are a nobody, I'm sorry to say. Talk is cheap.
Welcome to the forum!![]()

I am not raining on his parade...i congratulated him but cautioned him against such a style of betting long term is going to take you to the poor house.

I've been called a square cause most of my picks have been favs.
But if you follow me, I had two bigdogs win straight up last week.
buddybear is correct to some extent, buddybear advice is worthy
some. The only sure thing about luck is that it will change. Bet high
on games you love and low on games you don't. I had a problem
chasing my $, and betting 5-6-7 units on bets that I didn't even like
all that much. Don't ever get like that. I learned my lesson and
will never chase again. You will come back down to earth one day.
just like that tor/clippers game, cassell dont make that 3, u lose!!
luck..
