Default Yao is out for season

    Goodbye Houston.

Yao Ming's season reportedly is over.

    Yao

KRIV-TV in Houston and The Houston Chronicle are reporting that Yao has a stress fracture in his left foot and the Rockets are expected to announce he will have season-ending surgery later Tuesday.

Houston, currently on a 12-game winning streak, is in fourth place in the Southwest Division. The streak followed a loss in the one game that Yao has missed all season.

The 7-foot-6 Yao is averaging 22.0 points and 10.8 rebounds in 55 games this season.

thats also bad timing for them, cause the trade deadline just passed. i don't know, maybe they can find a washed up free agent.

That sucks. The NBA as a hole just got worse, and of course I already bet them tonight!!! That's a loss now.

Tough break for the Rockets. They were really playing some excellent ball and now they will probably miss the playoffs.

Thats one texas team short out of the playoffs. Would have been fun to watch yao and t-mac trying to win their 1st playoffs series this year.

That's a ridiculous statement. Let's see how they play without Yao first. They will be an even more up tempo team without Yao. McGrady has to stay healthy though. Rocket's will still make the playoffs.
