Nashville is a hard place for the visiting team for some reason.
But...and I hate to say this, I think the Vols are on a roll. And I'm being punished for something since I have to hear "Rocky Top" played ad nausem.

Tennessee defends the 3-pointer very well (5th in the nation). Vandy lives off the three pointer. I am staying away as I don't know how Tennessee will respond after a huge win Saturday.

Oh that wounds me. It truly does. Although I can't say I had to listen to it a lot this past year.
I am always more SEC friendly during basketball season than football.

Don't blame me cause the Vols were the only thing the East side of the conference had to offer. That 3rd Saturday of October was all I had to hold on to during the November sweeps.

That's just it, this is a huge letdown spot for Tennessee. The Vols are the far superior team, but when you add up the letdown factor and the fact that Vandy is like nigh and day home and away, I would not be at all surprised if Vandy wins this.
That said, I am passing on this game. In fact, I hate the board in general tonight, as I don't see much value anywhere.

Vandy is a very good team and Stallings is a great coach, but i think there is way too much pub about this being a 'let down spot' for the vols. I believe that the vols will use that as some motivation and come out sharp. Its been said many times that no team plays harder than Tennessee, i think that effort is a part of this teams make up and i expect them to come out flying tonight as the #1 team in the nation.

It's a tough town for me to visit and get any work done, but that's because I end up at Tootsie's and never leave.
The Tennessee letdown/Vandy tough venue to play at angle is a nice one, but I'm not buying into it as hard as some here. I think there's as good a chance that the Vols will be sky high for this one as there is for them to be apathetical. They know I picked them to go all the way in a preseason poll here and the Vols don't want to let me down now

I think everybody talk on "Vols letdown" is just setting themselves for a trap by taking Vandy.
On the other hand, you cant ignore how Vandy home court is pretty tough and even though Tennessee is riding high right now, all Vandy see's is a nice bullseye to take them right back down to reality.
Not sure if going to play or not, that -2 is so so nice though.

i picked the vols preseason on another site. some say that great minds think alike, it appears that ours do as well.

Tenn at -2 is probably one of the best lines you will see all season.
#1 Team in the country against a team they beat by 20 easily(coulda been a lot worse for the 'dores)
Vandy is way too dependent on the three. Tenn plays man so no shooting over the zone. Ogilvy is very overrated at this point IMO. He WILL be a great one, but needs this season to learn.
As JJ says, you dont bet AGainst the trap, you bet WITH the trap :P

the letdown/lookahead factor (of which i am a huge proponent) would work alot better here if tenn was hugely favored over a poor to middling team
with this spread at vandy you pretty much need vandy to win out right
