They were trying to see how he answered a question that they already knew the answer to. They were looking for cues / mannerisms.

Wasn't it more along the lines of "A vegan may have a deficiency of B12. Why the hell do you need it? Are you a vegan?"

O.K. all you vegans out there.

Meat is not murder, and dairy is not rape. I just as stupid as anyone but those are not mistakes.

Vegans aren't evil people. I am a vegan except that I do each fish (wild caught not farm raised). To me it's a health issue not a matter of murder or rape. If North Americans actually got away from most meat and dairy the obesity rate would decline dramatically. Those are the 2 worst things you can feed yourself.

Have you seen my avatar? I need about 25 more pounds. I love carcass in just about all forms, if you don't thats great, but most of the vegans that I have met try to make me feel bad when I have the veal cutlet at the italian resturant. Of course it doesn't effect me but they still try.

I'd love to give you my extra 25, RW.

We have at least one meatless meal a week, but that's as close as I come to being a vegetarian, and between my bro-in-law and I, we grow a lot of the veggies that we consume. Can't wait for it to warm back up because one thing I really miss during these brutal Texas winters is vine-ripened tomatoes and fresh basil.

PS - - - One thing I can tell you about Clemens comes from a chef at a little bistro on Houston west side not that long ago. This guy was the Clemens Family personal chef in the offseason for a couple of years and he told me Clemens was really into eating healthy stuff, lots of vegetables, fruits and lean meats as much as possible. Makes me think he was always looking for any edge, sometimes legal and sometimes not so legal.

my wife is a vegan but eats raw eggs (I don't get it either...) Seeing her grocery bill (especially in the winter) I don't think we could afford to both be vegatarians even if I wanted to... Luckily, I let her eat what she wants and she looks the other way when I eat dead cow...

The way I see it, we're at the top of the food chain for a reason.

If you eat vegan because you feel it's healthier, great.

But meat being murder? Seriously? That's just plain stupid.

And don't even get me started on milk being "rape"...it's more inhumane NOT to milk the damn cow.

I love animals. I don't agree with killing and skinning them just for fur. I don't agree with hunting for sport...but humans need to eat...and our bodies are designed to eat meat AND veggies.

Um, nobody brought up the whole murder and rape thing but me. Its just that is what I hear sometimes. As for eating bush, I wouldn't exactly call that MEAT, or VEGGIE. Maybe I'll call it a slurpie.

Ahhh...but if vegans can't have milk because it's fluid from an animal....you see what I'm getting at here?

Ahh good point, so THE SEER if you eat bush your not a vegan. Unless by bush you mean an actual bush like in your front yard.

That is incorrect swede. Man (and women) are the only "meat" eaters that have to cook the meat. True meat eaters have claws and teeth that allow them to pick apart the raw flesh and eat it. We get sick if we eat raw meat. I don't wanna get into a fight over it, but this is a fact.

I enjoy a nice steak just seared on both sides. Pretty much bloody raw.

Our digestive systems may not be able to handle raw meat (though I eat my steak pretty much raw), and we may have evolved further due to our ABILITY to cook meat, but we have the same claws and teeth wild animals do.

I'm not saying that I could go out and rip an animal to shreds with my teeth, but I think the ony reason that we can no longer stomach raw meat and our teeth aren't as sharp as a wild animal's is the fact that we are able to cook the meat and we have the ability to use utensils to rip it apart. Regardless, I don't see how you can argue that humans are designed to be meat eaters.

I have been a vegetarian for 17 years and vegan for 10. I am not this way for any kind of animal rights issues or anything like that. I go hunting every year. I just feel so much better day in and day out in all aspects of my life from not eating anything with a face.
