do they use a lie detector in that show? b/c if they do those things are extra flawed for identifying whether or not an answer is true or false...

Due to my sports investing habits I miss almost every prime time show. Thanks for the recap...
If you're willing to hand in your marriage and admit to being an adulterer on national TV, why wouldn't you go the whole way and admit to being a bad person as well? It doesn't make sense to say "yes" to one in order to move up the ladder, only to say "no" to the next one and blow it all

i think the question will get tricker later on. i bet the show will word the question in some weird way so the contestant thinks that he/she is telling the truth will get a false answer.
if i am on the show, i'll be telling my friends to save that button for the end when they think there is a trap question.

Lie detector tests aren't perfect but it was quite amusing to see her lose 100k after admitting that she was in love with an ex on her wedding day, would leave her husband for her ex given the opportunity and has cheated on her husband. I do feel bad for the husband, due to the embarrassment of it all on national TV, but the show has done him a favor as she was a fat slob anyway.

Karma works in mysterious ways. I'm glad that lying, cheating, skank lost the money. She definitely didn't deserve it.

Love how well that buzzer worked
"Would you leave your husband for your ex boyfriend?"
Oh the buzzer was pushed, ok wow that was a tough one and you will not have to answer it ever.
Ok the next question is completely at random, ex boyfriend you stay here
"Do you feel you should be married to your ex boyfriend?"
BTW whoever is dumb enough to hit buzzer is brainless, i mean its obviously negative if you had to buzzer it, thank god the writers had the same question back to back
like when that pageant contestant was asked if she ever threw up on purpose and her dumbass sister hit button, wow what could the answer have been? No? lmao

WOW okay I just watched it- WTF???
She probably DOES honestly believe she's a good person. She probably just hesitated in the chair and thought about longer than the other questions or something, there's NO WAY she'd consciously lie about that and tell the truth on screwing other men.

I think it's real. I was watching that blonde chick and I don't think she's that good of an actor, the family and husband too. I think it's a little unfair how they trick people with questions. When it's not a clearcut question, and it's something that's up for interpretation you're rolling the dice on the machine.

Exactly my point, whats stopping the producers from asking "is 3,457 x 254= 22,582? True or false? The show should be about truths not deep questions with no true answer

That's one magic polygraph this show is using if the questions were worded like crazyl listed them in the first post of this thread.
Asking, "Did you have a sexual affair with John/Jane Doe?" is a definitive yes or no inquiry. Asking, "Do you think/consider you're a bad person for having this affair?" is nothing but an opinion based on the individual's definition of good and bad. It's like a pass interference call in football; one referee might say it was interference and another says it wasn't, and neither one is lying.

yep, that is why it is hard to win the 500k. i think once you pass the 100k mark, the question start to become subjective. bad strategy to use the button before the 100k mark.
her husband looked like a loser. she is not a looker, i wouldn't do her even after a bottle of scotch.

He looked like a douche, you could tell he was controlling just by his face and the reactions he showed, then muttering for her to say "no" when the good person question came while sitting next to her father was the mark of a real classless jerk.
Her ex boyfriend looked like he could kick her husbands ass.

What's also messed up is the fact that the polygraph examiner asks them 50 questions, and only 21 are chosen for the show. That makes for better excitement, but the fact is they can pick whoever they want to win.

Your right I think it is fixed. The people aren't even hooked up to a heart monitor or any of the other crap that gets taped to you for the lie detector. Do they ask the same questions before the contestant goes on stage? If so the contestants sure act like it is the first timethey are hearing this stuff.
BTW There ain't no-f'ing-way I would ever be on that show. I've rented storage space in four states with all the skeletons in this closet.

They hook them up prior for 50 questions. Then 21 are chosen for the show, but if the contestant knows they lied they can change their answer on the show and still advance to the next question even if they originally lied.
What was interesting was the chick who screwed around on her husband seemed so eager to share all the secrets even citing wanting to get everything off her chest, and yet she got hit with a false on an utterly subjective question. I guarantee she didn't lie on any factual question, subjective questions are retarded.

i saw a commerical for one of the episodes where they ask this cute girl, "have you ever received money for sex?"
man, that gotta be the best moment for the show, admit you're a hooker on national tv
or she can downplay it by making up some lame shit like, she ****ed her bf for a handbag fund...or something like that.
anyways, i kinda want to watch that episode. it is always nice to watch cute girls answer embrassing questions

I am addicted to this show, I'm watching the episodes on Fox.com's player, there are 5 of them featured there (is that all?). I hope it's on this Wednesday.
The Gambler guy who won $100k was a great contestant.

i remember when who wants to be an millionaire was a hit, other country tv stations would copy the idea.
this show is pretty entertaining, way better than american idol and deal or no deal (wtf...picking numbers???? i though it was a joke when i first saw the description of the show). i can see other countries picking this up. i am expecting russia, taiwan, india, uk, and germany going to come up with their version of this show. i think the russian version will be the best...they'll probably will actually ask incriminating questions, and the transport to the siberia labor camp will be waiting for the contestants there used to be a show in russia where they have people steal cars, if they can get away from the cops, they get to keep the car, if not, they go to jail....not making this up...google it if you don't believe me.
