Default Who Is This Guy Michael Beasley?

Some say he is best player to come out of college in recent memory and way better than Durant

    Wow!!!

    Is he this good?

He's pretty damn good in the limited action I've been able to watch him, JJ. Looking forward to seeing him again tonight against a surging Texas squad.

I would consider him a very good player...26 points and 12 rebounds per game good.

    Lol

That is almost impossible to do in college

NBA scouts say he is the shoe in #1 pick already

He is a very good player, but I think he also has so much more to learn, which is quite obvious at times with his decision making. I have seen amazing performances by him, and other times have seen him make horrible fouls when not needed, not being able to control the ball, shot clock management, throwing up shots when other options alot more smarter, etc. But he is only a freshman, and if he stays another year he will be even more better and start to be complete player.

Would be nice to see him not just be one and done, as I think if he gets selected in the top which he will if he comes out, then whatever team is going to need to teach him alot. He might contribute on offensive side, but NBA they want complete players and he still has alot to learn.

they play two completely different positions...its like comparing michael jordan and bill russell...they were both amazing...kind of like beasley and durant were amazing college players...i think they both have about the same to offer in the nba in two different aspects of the game...beasley will dominate down low and durant will dominate outside

On a much less important note:

Trust this...if Beasley was that good K St would not be losing any games this year. Especially with another blue chipper in Bill Walker on the roster. If a player is that special it will show up in the win column.

Durant turns out wasn't that good after all...so far.

Kevin Love is the best player in college and he's going to get drafted in the teams. I am praying that Wizards get their mits on this guy.

    gl you bastards

durant hasnt been good after all in the nba or college? b/c he is averaging 19/4/2 in the nba as a rookie...yes durant bolstered the talent on texas's squad...but texas relied on him too much in crunch time...so i can see why although he was the best player last year he didnt make texas the best team...thats why osu had a lot better success b/c they had other players on the court that could come through in the clutch other than oden...

i think its the same w/ k st this year...they rely on beasley too much...i think he is the best player in the nation through what hes accomplished this year...but he doesnt even make his team a top 10 team in the nation...its all about teamwork!

right on Quebb, agree with you I think Durant is doing good for his rookie year and what he did at Texas was amazing considered it was Durant getting so many of those wins just by his effort.

Beaseley is same way but he is suspectable to freshman mistakes at least that I have seen. Still in amazing talent just needs to be taught alot more.

and yeah right on teamwork always wins in the end. superstars bring in the fans and money but teams produce the wins.

19pts is terrible for taking 17 shots a game

4 reb is terrible for being 6'9" or maybe taller

2 assists is awful for a shooting guard

Common fellas stop drinking the kool aid...the kid some special abilities but they'll never translate to wins

Now Beasley last night was jacking 3s when Texas was on a 8-0 run

    Kevin Love is that dude
