Man I wish I knew ANYTHING about baseball because I see from alot of people that its the best sport to bet on. I would love to put some funds on it, but I just feel like I would be throwing away money.

There are people who feel that way about college basketball, about every sport really I'm sure plenty people feel is their best or at least approach it like it is in terms of volume. At the end of the day though, I think all you can do is play to your own strengths and not worry about how anyone else makes a buck.

After the superbowl most guys hang it up, college baskets and nba are more for guys that have gambling problems like us and bases is even worse action junkies that need action all year around. Anyone seriously trying to make money is not betting all year around

MLB is easy money. Thats how you can land 4-7 team parlays easy money.

    Just think about this...
    red sox to win
    yankee's to win
    angels to win
    detroit to win
    marlins to lose
    royals to lose.

That would cover 80% of the time.

I'm pretty much done right now. I was going to bet the props at Pinny on the American Idol, but they pulled out and now only offer the overall winner. I may have a few sporadic investments, but I am mostly done until NFL preseason.

This is my deep and true passion and can't imagine stopping. Every day for me so long as there's a basketball, baseball, hockey or football value play.

Thanks bro, I've always enjoyed reading your posts also. I'm not sure who I will tail (or fade knowing most of the guys here), but I'll probably let the season settle for a few weeks and then see about getting some wagers going. I'm mainly football myself too.

College hoops is my main sport, but I still wager some on baseball, just not nearly as much. I wager on football too, but there aren't as many games. I have given up on the NHL..tired of losing money on that.

Because more underdogs win in Baseball than in any other sport, so there are good money-making opportunities every day.

I have a set budget for bases which I use for futures. Over and under season totals. This way I have a rooting interest in the games without the volitility of the one game situation. This method has worked for me the past two seasons. Naturally once the playoffs begin I'll fire in whats left on series props and/or individual games. Two seasons ago I did well, this past season I tapped out.
I would be spreading myself too thin to get involved on a daily basis. Thats my style right now and I'm sticking to it.
The SBR baseball contest is always good practice.

I have have had some of my best weeks in gambling ever.
Back in the day when I was younger & single & had no kids I made & won my biggest bet.You got to understand A friend of mine and I were running our own book, and I was living a completely different life than I am now.I still remember almost everything :1989 2 team parlay
    W Expos vs cubs
    W Texas vs Oakland
Thats when Oakland was awsome ,they also beat the Giants that year in the W.S.
I don't remember the odds anymore, but I know the expos & the Orioles were big underdogs.Dave Stewart was pitching for Oakland.(you young ones may not remember him,but I do,and I know L.T does.Anyways to make a long story longer (lol)
    I bet $750 and it paid $3153.67
Went out partying that night, and did not even know I won till the next day.

Hell no. I don't even bet that much NCAA Hoops to begin with. After March Madness we still have the NBA Playoffs, and the start of MLB. There's a lot of money to still be made. BTW, if you haven't learned baseball yet, now's the time. You're missing out on good money.
