That's nothing. That's with a suit and guys at my gym smaller than me can do 600. Off to bed. Later.

Monday is deadlift day so need my rest. Cheers!

Damn, buztah is an animal! Rock on bud.

I most likely can't get ya on power lifting, but when it comes down to muscle stamina, that's all me.

Weightlifting is just good for getting hernias.Even women weight lifters get hernias. The same holds true for the kids that thought in high school that they were going to become division 1 and NFL kickers and punters.Everyone I knew like that got a hernia. They were constantly doing reps kicking an imaginary football like someone playing the air guitar. The body isn't meant to stretch and tear under constant pressure.

Well BCrude I fit that exactly and I can tell you that is NOT true...

I do not do deadlifts but..

    Bench 250 (legs up)
    Squatt 270 (Olympic)

I believe the number he put up... I do not think he can squat 500+ all the way down to where his hamstrings and calves touch but I believe he can do 500+ standard...

I see the UT Offensive Line do reps. with 315 but then again they are 6' 5" and 325+ so they should be able to do that...

Default Whatever happened to Allexiov??''spelling''and all the Rusian great on Wide World of

I remember as a kid liking to watch weight lifting on Wide World of Sports.I remember seeing some gross stuff like breakdowns.etc.I remember Allexioff from Russia and I always wondered what happened to him???I never Googled as to what happened to him but someone into weightlifting might know?It seemed like all the weightlifters from the eastern block would just croak and the whole thing was covered up.I used to see Ken Paterra wrestle in my town up here in the boonies and he was close to the best weightlifter in the world at one time. After a wrestling match him and the Iron Shiek???wanted to eat at a ** Donald's but it was closed so they ransacked the place in a roid rage and tossed all the employees and cops around.I think they served some time for it.The Iron Sheik was Sadam's best friend as a kid and won some medals in the Olympics for Iraq in about 1960 and now lives in a hideaway cabin where I live.He gave an interview for tv recently badmouthing Sadam. His whole schtick as a wrestler was to be pro Taliban or whatever but that was before 9-11.Can you imagine going into some place like Alabama with 15 thousand rednecks doing that routine? It would have been worse than Andy Kaufman going to Memphis and belittling southern people.hehe!

Don't squat - don't deadlift ,but I love the art of bench pressing. Great mood stabilizer when you high off a winning streak or low off a costly loss. I max out at 495 lbs.

willy, that is some nice pressing. You know if you squatted you'd likely see your BP numbers go up even more. Mine tend to rise as the squat and DL progress. I've found also that my bench really shot up once I got the technique down. Your technique must be flawless. Kudos on that impressive bench, pal.

Thanx... I've been benching since I was 16. Always had a passion for it. I'll check out the squat machine sometime - see if it adds anything to my bench.

YUP you hit it on the nose... That is the MOST important thing that's why when I bench I lift my legs up and curl them in like I am doing ab crunches...

This FORCES you to do it slowly and properly otherwise you will tip over...

It should be a squat "RACK" not a "MACHINE"... Unless you don't know how to do squats relative to technique I don't recommand machines...

avoid stairs for the first 48 hours if youve never squatted before!

lol - I've been there before. That's why I decided to work-out strictly with the bench.

I don't max much anymore. I tend to get tendonitis now when I go heavy after 20+ yrs of lifting heavy weights. Last summer I maxed on bench at 365. I don't max squat but can get 405 for 3 sets of 3. I haven't deadlifted since I was early 20s and have no idea what it was.

mines close to Willie Bee's numbers, years of working warehouse or construction jobs, lifting all kinds of heavy stuff, and then the 12oz curls after work, i've only had a couple girlfriends that would've qualified for the 110-120lbs. dead lift weight, most girls i've been with i wouldn't try to dead lift them or i would get a hernia.

Mine is very close except for the pick up truck unloading is two 50 lb bags of pet food.
Every once in a while I push the curl up to and max on 40 oz.
The wife lift I think is around the same. When I pick her up she feels like the same weight as the pet food. I can't get near the scale when she is standing on it so I don't have difinitive numbers.

hank is getting jacked w/ those 125 lb dumbells! but those 60 lb shoulder presses pretty much rule out benching 125 lb dumbells on bench...
