I know Dan Gordon puts out some software and MrNFL.com does as well (both NFL programs). I can't comment because I've never used either. Mrnfl.com has great stats on the web for use if you prefer to do your own handicapping.

the winpicks software is pretty much useless. All it does is create backtracked equations which don't work for future wagers.

i disagree, i think winpicks software is great but you have to use it properly. basically i'm a sports fan, not a programmer so for me I can use it to quickly scan and program the searches i want and it helps me to cut down and pick a few choice games. you can't just blindly pick anything it spits out, i think combining it with the human element and its great software. I will say that the college basketball isn't that good, my success has been in NBA and NFL games, but those are where the majority of my plays are in anway other than MLB - too bad they don't have baseball on it.....
