Yes they are jj, but most people just see the huge payouts and still bet them. Most pros stay away from them.

For a small recreational amount, I sometimes parlay a handful of moneyline favorites on NCAAF or NCAAB. I just do it to add another interesting little angle to my Saturdays and I have no doubt I lose money on them long-term.

Very small $$$.

Stay away...remember, what the sportsbooks want you to do you should do the opposite.

That being the case, every now and then I'll fool around and put in a parlay 6 or something for like $10 knowing full well it will lose. However, what's interesting is I always seem to win the first 5 games only to lose the final game. Go figure!

was never able to hit a parlay so stopped a few years ago. found a few good honest cappers and just stick with them. my friend last month hit a parlay for $26k on vip. im trying to get the ticket and post it. the kraziest thing about it that they were 3-4 baseball games and all night games. crazy shit. he is a very different bettor than most guys i know. but i guess whatever floats your boat. i NEVER play parlays.

How about poster /player Roo? he single handily brought down FairDeal with his round robin parlays and was banned from pretty much every sportsbook. he only played parlays.

And there was the guy who brought Jazz to its knees with a bunch of wins including one ticket that cashed for $400k?

They are not for everyone but I know of a few that made them work.

I will only play 2 or 3 team parlays in baseball with big favorites. Don't like playing anything higher than -150, so I like to parlay 2 or 3 teams that may be higher than that with their aces pitching. Actually has worked pretty well for me so far this year. Other than that, I do think they're sucker bets!

I agree with JJ that parlay's shouldn't be played big and are mostly sucker bets, however, in soccer there are leagues which have 70% Under2.5 or Over2.5, these usually arn't big mainstream leagues, in these leagues there are a few times a year every game will go under or over, playing them at very low stakes can pay up huge. Also the last week and two weeks and opening week or two of the German Bundesliga tend to have nearly every game going Over, if you hit this its a huge jackpot and a great start or finish to the season.

When I went to Vegas a couple years ago I put a $100 a 3 team parlay and won $700, the next night did the same thing and won again. The day I was leaving I put $20 on a 8 team parlay and later that evening when I returned home I was checking the scores and found out that I won 7 of the 8 games and pushed on the 8th game and won $1500. With that being said I havent won sh*t on parlays since then. just a guesstimate I think im like 0-40 since that fine week in vegas on parlays.

Nothing wrong with 2-team parlays paying 13/5 if you are a 53% capper.

The break-even point at 13/5 is 27.78%. A 53% capper would hit 2-teamers 28.09% of the time.
