Default I need some help posting an attachment

If I could get one of you guys to help me for a second I sure would appreciate it.
I know how to post an attachment for the avitar, and I can do it on some sights, but they usually have a place for you to do it.(I've only had a computer since Oct 2007.but I am learning allot better than I thought I would) One thing I don't know how to do is post a picture or attachment on the thread,or the ploace where people write their threads.I've seen other people do it,and I have something I want to post, that everybody would find really funny.

I believe you have to hit the post reply button then the paperclip next to the smiley face just above the reply box.

Sign up at photobucket. It's an image hosting site and you can use it for free.

Charlie, posting a photo and an attachment are two different things. For the attachment bit, when you start a new thread or reply to an old one, toggle down below the posting box and you'll see a gray shaded section Additional Options. Part of that includes a 'manage attachments' button, click that and then you would upload from your hard drive either a jpg photo file or maybe an Excel spread sheet (within the size restrictions noted).

For photos, sportsgirl gave you the best initial advice, sign up at some site that will hosts photos for you for free. PhotoBucket is a good site, but steer clear of ImageShack only because they've cut us off since we're such a bawdy bunch at times.

It's the same there, pretty easy, you upload a photo from your hard drive. PhotoBucket also is easy to copy the link from their site and then post using the link that you see here when starting a new thread or replying to an old one.

If my explanation only served to confuse you further, PM me and I'll try to walk you through it when I'm sober
