You're new here, so I'm not going to bash you like you did me. Even considering that you came into my thread, and felt the need to tell me that I'll be broke by 2009, and I'm making such a bad decision. Even though you didn't know how to properly show risking/winning denominations. Oh well, I guess if I really did make a bad call, it will be seen tonight, and I'll be the first one to write a reply here telling you that you were right.

Three things though...

A. $3000/$2000 means "Risking $3000 to win $2000" $2000x1.5 = $3000

B. If I was soo confident in Golden State losing this game tonight, or doubted they weren't deserving of 33 wins, I would've put $2000 on the Hawks ML. Golden State might actually win tonight, I just have a hard time believing that they're going to cover -11, both of the teams match up very well.

C. My NFL and MLB plays are $1000 a unit, as I have stated numerous times here, and quite a few guys can vouch for me. You being new however, spoke before you understood that. I am up $85,000 on the NFL, and down $2200 in the NBA. Would you really care about putting $3000 on the Hawks to win tonight? Even if I lose (which I hope I don't obviously), I'm still up $80,000. Are you joking me?

atlanta 1st quarter might be a better play considering the way the Warriors have come out in the 1st quarter at home in the last couple months. Who the hell knows though. All i know is Boston couldn't stop Ellis or Davis at all. The Hawks looked so bad on the road at LA i''d be wary of this play.

I hope you do well tonight. I hit it big this afternoon in soccer so I will go out and celebrate. I went 6-1 with 3,4,5 team parlays in round robins. I made $5,000 with only risking $500.

GL Chute, here's my response.

First of all, I don't quite like the buying of those points for all that extra juice. Points should be bought or sold based on high or low volatility. It feels like (and of course I could be wrong) that you felt iffy about the spreads and wanted to buy the points to feel better about the bets, which is a dangerous thing to do.

If I had to bet a side in the Atl/GS game I'd take Atlanta, but that is a very risky side to take. Sure GS has a couple of guys out, but they are a guard-driven team, and Atl is having major problems at guard right now. Bibby is playing with a bruised heel, and both Claxton and Acie Law are out. Monta Ellis ate Bibby alive when Bibby was with Sac a few games back. This could easily wind up being a 15-pt win for GS.

I don't like the Pistons play at all either, Milwaukee has everyone healthy now, and Det might be on a downturn. I think Milwaukee will be able to hang with Detroit all game.

I agree with Sac, but would much much rather have them on the ML for a SU win that have them with a few points at -150. I think this game comes with high volatility, buying points is not a good idea IMO. If Charlotte wins I think it will likely be by a bigger amount than a smaller one.
