yeah thats fairly standard for fast food chains.

but if i was the kid i'd casually take it from you if no manager was watching.

plus its rude to not accept tips.

its in the rules not to but most take it.... when i was in chicago for week i frequently tipped at fast food places simply because this was the first time in the states as a adult and dident know if tipping was a must or what.... anyways most if not all all of the people i tipped where the midnight shift and they looked liked they needed the money more then me (either young college lookin people and or mid thirties with a shitty job)... either way they all said thanks

Enough with the tipping. Do you tip your nurse, your doctor, your dentist? Then why in the **** you should tip someone who pours coffee in your cup?

When someone makes 70K who in their right mind would tip them.Somewho makes $7.50 on the other hand might appreciate the extra $1

I tip at restaurants when I sit on the table and a waiter takes my order and brings my food from the kitchen. When I have to stand in line at a fast food place and have to wait 5-10 minutes to place an order for a cup of coffee I don't tip.

exactly, i dont tip at fast food places, they are making minimum wage or better. Actual servers are getting paid dirt, I served years ago and it was 2.13/hour + tips. Before that I worked at target food avenue doing basically the same job making 9.50/hour but not aloud to take tips.

I worked in the auto parts business for years. At one major chain I worked for I started when I was 19 working through college. We advertised free battery installation, so I installed ALOT of batteries for customers. I was only making $9 an hour then, and it wasn't our policy to accept tips, as we advertised it was free when I sold them a battery. Some people would offer a tip, I would always say some shit like "You don't have to pay me, I'm happy to do it for you! Just make sure you come back & see us when you need blah blah blah" If they said "no, take it" I fukin took it & thanked them.

When I started managing the stores a few years later I seldom installed a battery anymore, but still had some people that would slip me a $20.

I once had this very attractive lady, she was probably in her late 30's 40 at the most, need a headlight put in. I would always put a headlight in, or have someone do it, for people if it was easy. But this was an older jeep where the whole light had to be taken out, all that chrome trim & shit, but she was cute so I did it. She asked me 3 times what she owed me, and I told her nothing, just come back & see me with whatever she needed. She asked me if I drank beer! I looked at her kinda funny & answered yes. She said she would bring me some beer by one day. I just kinda laughed & thought she was fuked up! This was in late October I think. Well, about a week before xmas she comes in & asks if I remember her, I said yeah & we talked a second, she asked me to come out to her jeep she had something for me. She brought me a 12pk of Killians Red & said Merry xmas & asked me if I had a girlfriend. I thought she was wanting to go out, so I said "that depends", I would have definitely went out with her, but she was asking for her friend who was a lot younger. She said I was really nice guy & her friend was single & could use a nice guy in her life. I told her I had a GF but thanks for the compliment. That would have been too much work, I was hoping she just wanted to fuk in the parking lot!

What does the McDonald's cashier do with the money when you leave without your change? Numerous times at the drive-thru I hand the money at window #1 and proceed to window #2 without waiting for change.

no problem

when you are a server, or someone who works for tips, you do not make state minimum wage + tips. You make a much less amount + tips.

for example, from what i just read, the minimum wage for tip earners is now $3.65 in ohio.

Right, the min wage for servers is different because tips make up the majority of their income. Most don't claim all those tips at tax time so they get the last laugh.

Why tip someone for a job I’m capable of doing myself? I can deliver food. I can drive a taxi. I can, and do, cut my own hair. I did however, tip my urologist, because I am unable to pulverize my own kidney stones.

At Christmas time I give tips out to everyone, and I do mean everyone. Mailman, UPS, Garbageman, Meter reader, and double the usual tips at restaurants as long as the service is up to par. Spread the cheer!! You go to a bar, or restaurant, and give someone a 100 bill on a 50 dollar tab it makes the week for that person. PAY IT FORWARD.

The main reason they are not allowed is to deter drug activity. A person can be going there 4-5 times a day for coffee tipping $5-$10 every time and on the 6th trip he gets his dope in the bag.

I'm not kidding. A friend of a friend started a job at Burger King and he was bragging about stealing $20 a day from the cash register. I was sure he will lose his job pretty soon but I said nothing...

4 months later I went to the drive thru of that BK and the cashier refused my money. I was "WTF is going on"...she didn't speak English and she was very scared to accept my money. Suddenly the "friend" showed up at the window and said "for you it's free"...I learned he became a Manager...LOL...no kidding...plus the bag was full with extras I didn't order.

Two years later the restaurant closed and was replaced by a Taco Bell.
