Two weeks between games is crap. The playoffs are great where there's only one week between games then you get this huge break and football goes to the back burner.
I've actually been putting more time into studying baseball futures then thinking about the Super Bowl lately. Then I take a break with light betting until March Madness which leads into baseball.

I have been parlaying all of the last 2 weeks of action to Pittsburgh
I like the 2 week layoff When there are two obviously mismatched
teams in the Superbowl.
Pittsburgh Will Win People!!

They only need a one week break. Two weeks is too long.![]()

The NFL always hears this complaint, but every time they make the break one week the game gets lower ratings and the NFL makes less money. The game is the biggest single event of any professional sporting league and the extra week is necessary to take care of all the logistics, get the marketing in place, let the teams get healthy, and still have time to prepare so that the game is played at a high level. Having a single week for such a massive media event can only diminish the level of football seen on Super Sunday.

I'm sure you are right, but I would love to see some numbers to back it up. If anybody runs accross them please post.
