Exactly. Everything starts with Pinnacle. My life would be a lot more difficult without them.
Sometimes I feel like I should be doing something special for them in return. Does anyone have a list of all their employees birthdays so I can send them cards or something? It seems like the least I can do.

They can do that because they make a ton of money no matter the juice. They could go to -101 on football and make a profit. They have some of the tighest lines anywhere and they have a ton of people betting there because everyone knows that Pinnacle is the best. Going to -104 will only reaffirm that and cause even more people to lose money to them. Its a pretty smart move on Pinnacle's part.

They do have the sharpest lines...but they also have the sharpest clientelle. Obviously volume allows them to offer reduced juice...but -104 is amazing. To say that they could make money at -101 is a stretch as their hold percentage is already pretty low. It is the critical mass/volume that allows these offers, but -104 just reinforces how sharp these guys are if they can still turn a profit.Originally Posted by Senator7

I can't pretend to have any inside information on the Pinnacle business model, but my suspicion is that they make most of their money by taking positions. Because they offer such tight markets not only do they see a tremendous amount of action from sharp players but also are able to identify just who those sharp players are. This would then make it easy Pinnacle to take on positions which mimic those of the sharpest players.

I do not know how other books are in business anymore or at least after the first 25 books or so.
No books can compete with them

Well it is only on NFL sides...it's still fantastic but these are the easiest lines to set and have the fewest volatile moves.

I think you summed it up. In fact, many books make their money this way. It's not always about getting even action on each side and keeping the vig. It's about beating everyone else to the number. The sooner you get it the more money you will make. Pinnacle often gets to the position first in American sports.I can't pretend to have any inside information on the Pinnacle business model, but my suspicion is that they make most of their money by taking positions. SBR Founder Join Date: 8/30/2005
Jent I never tried it and just stick to the basic deposit method Neteller
I just do not trust most others
SBR Founder Join Date: 7/20/2005
Illusion I see many NFL games that are not -104 on both sides
SBR Founder Join Date: 7/20/2005
Every week one game has an eight cent line jj.

When I see a book say we now have -104 I should see both sides at -104 on every game
Why advertise -104 when many games are not -104?

New! -104 style pricing on NFL sides!
Note the word style, in other words eight cent lines.

It looks like they will make sure Mansion doesn't offer anything they don't have. Man recently raised Neteller limits to $50k and has prices at about -104 (before fees). That's why players should root for Mansion. Competition is a good thing.New! -104 style pricing on NFL sides!
NETeller transaction limits increased to $50,000

I wonder what Mansions volume is compared to Pinnacle?

I'm loving Mansion at the moment - my only concern is the financial stability of the company.Originally Posted by Bill Dozer
