The Bulls sent Ben Wallace and Joe Smith to the Cleveland Cavaliers and Adrian Griffin to the Seattle Supersonics in a three-way deal that would bring Larry Hughes and Drew Gooden to the Bulls, according to a source.

Wally Szczerbiak would go from Seattle to Cleveland.

The deal isn't finalized yet. Hopefully the league granted them a deadline extension.

The league office was notified of the deal before Thursday's 3 p.m. ET trading deadline, sources said, and is currently reviewing the trade details as required for formal approval.

Not really. They got a lot of cap space. They will be OK in a few years

I love Ben Wallace and have been an avid supporter of his since he donned the beautiful Bullets uniform, but he is far removed from the player he was even 3 years ago. He's an energy athlete who at this point lacks energy and athleticism. I'm not sure I wouldn't rather have the more polished game of Gooden even if he does look like an idiot. And while Hughes certainly has not been a great fit in Cleveland, he is finally starting to get healthy and show signs of becoming the star-caliber player he was in his last season in Washington. As for the second tier players in the deal, Cleveland got garbage. Wally defines underachievement and West strives to be a turnover per minute type of guy.

Oh yes, and then there's the Sonics, also known as "The Team Most Likely to Make Any Trade that Lowers Payroll and Raises Their Lottery Odds".

seatle is going to get good draft pick players, and have there rookies helping them out and then they will pick up the top 1-3 guys in the FA market 2-3 years in a row and have a team to contend with 2 years down the road.
