Cowboys if they trade Roy Williams and get a cover safety plus 1 or 2 more additions.

I hate the cowboys but they are setting up to be a force, but in football with the cap and free agency I think its going to be hard to have a dynasty.......maybe the patriots as well.

I can't see any team in the NBA being a dynasty - how are the Lakers going to keep coming out of the West - they might get one ring - that's it.

Chances of them beating say the Mavs, Spurs, Nuggets and Celtics are remote - and then to beat these caliber of teams the next year - more remote.

are the lakers the best team in the west right now? everyone seems enamored with them.

I'd say the Cleveland Browns if they were going to retain Derek Anderson's services. Romeo Crennel is a great defensive mind and a very underrated head coach, remember this guy used to coach the Patriots too as DC when they were more known for defense (01-04).

Their OL is much better with Joe Thomas, a great WR/TE combo, physical ass runner, with the right draft and a few defensive acquisitions they can be a 12-13 win team and have as good a shot as any to win a championship next year and some after that.

    Coll Basketball - UCLA
    Pro basketball - Boston Celtics
    Baseball - New York Mets
    Football - USC

Yankees will always have that potential in baseball.
    Red Sox, too.

    Patriots in football

USC if Carroll stays, although Neuhiesal should be able to steal away some of his recruits.
Notre Dame will be there soon.

College Basketball - No one. With this stupid 1 year rule before guys can go pro, any team has the potential on any given year. It will be hard to build a dynasty.

The NY Yankees, of course ... is there any professional dynasty that has spanned the life of a sport? They won the World Series once every 4 years ... 25% of the time ...

    Anybody else do that, kids?

Arizona Diamondbacks, with Webb and Haren, they have two ace pichers and come playoffs it is all about pitching. Mix in some young talent in Justin Upton and Chris Young and they will be contenders in the NL for the next few years. WIn the NL pennant and anything can happen in the WS.

Cowboys won't win a single Super Bowl in the next 6 years. They definitely have the pieces, but Jerry Jones will find a way to screw it up.

The Patriots are done. They are simply getting too old. This year was their year. They might have an outside shot next year, but the window will slam closed fairly quickly.

In the NFL, I don't think we'll see any team win 3 of the next 6. It's only been done 3 times in the 42 years of the Super Bowl. In the next 6 years, these teams probably all win 1 each: Colts, Chargers, Giants, Packers, Browns, ???. The NFL has too much parity.

Kinda like Jones screwd it up in the early 90s. As long as Belichick and Brady are there, the Pats will have a chance.

Romo not a big time QB, you will never win with him, he is not competitive enough and too much of a clown.

forget about the lakers, the west is too strong and when the playoffs begin, you'll see that the better teams take over. i don't believe in the lakers. ps, remember when dallas won 67 gms last yr? how did that work out?

Nobody could screw up that much talent. Hell, he put Barry Switzer out there with a headset and won one with those players. Plus that was before the salary cap. Jones has been useless at capology. Jones probably shoulda had 5 rings with those players if he didn't run the team into the ground.

Brady & Belichick? It takes more than one player to win a Super Bowl, it takes 53. The Pats used to have 53 young and hungry talent that would run through walls to win a ring. Now they've got some old, slow dogs without much bite. The Pats have been picking too late in the draft for too long. Plus, their free agent players will constantly be getting stripped out to other teams. Eventually it just sucks the wind out of a team. Same thing happens to every great dynasty. Right now, the Patriots are in band-aid mode, signing old players that may or may not have one more year. This strategy only works to a point, eventually everyone is just too old. The "dynasty" is over. The Pats will flop around in the playoffs for a few more years, but won't win the big one without a significant influx of young talent.

I agree with Barry Switzer but Jones has made better decisions lately.I think he is starting to get the picture. Plus, the Pats are getting old but they have mastered the cap better than anyone. I agree they need to go ahead and dump some of the older guys on defense and replace them asap.
