I agree with both statements.

Out of these four teams the Spurs got at least the second best deal.

The Suns lost so much that they are no longer a contender. While Nash is great, Marion was their MVP.

The Mavericks got a good old player in exchange for a good young player. They are no better after the trade.

The Spurs got help precisely where they needed it. They got above-average center replacing their below-average center. Their gain is practically the same as Lakers' because Lakers already had Bynum. Once he is back, Gasol loses value.

I dont think the spurs will win...I have to say the lakers look real tough right now and I think I would put them as the lead dog in the west
