I keep reading that a lot of you guys tail hot cappers from time to time, and I was wondering what your "rule of thumb" on this subject. I mean at what point do you jump on and or off them before the ship before it sinks?

i will follow a guy who is good at soccer, golf, even college games.

pro sports i will probably not blindly follow. but if a guy is on fire i will play until he loses. then probably fade his next 10 plays.

whenever jj seems like he is invincible, i fade every single one of his plays. whenever he is down, i stay off the games.

i stop following cappers after the mlb season.

I think its always a bad idea, but...

If you are going to do it, at least have an opinion on the game yourself. If you agree with his side, perfect.

When I'm on a bad streak and can't pick my own nose, I will seek out a capper whose opinion I respect and tail a bit. Most of the time, I start winning a bit and get back into a groove.

It's not bad to tail a good capper once in a while.

I think it is stupid not to piggyback good cappers.

Lets face it - most of us suck at this. We THINK we know our shit, but we don't. That's why these books are thriving.

If we had access to plays that successful professional makes, it would be stupid not to tail.

Only consistently good ones with results that can be determined as being statistically significant.

Following someone with a record that could have been explained statistically soley by the variance of flipping a coin may not be the best ones to unload on.

Assuming a test with a perfectly fair coin but, due to some statistical quirk, you flip that coin and get 100 heads. What are the odds of getting a head on the 101st flip?
