Thumbs up The real difference between KOBE and the rest of the NBA Stars is....

Kobe will try to play through the pain of torn ligaments in his pinky finer...

The other "stars" will sit out 3 at least games for a jammed finger on their NON-shooting hand!

I am not questioning Kobe's toughness, but the question becomes would he be helping of hurting the team playing through this? I don't have the answer to that myself, it all depends on how well he could play.

kobe would rather score 50 and lose than score 15 and win.

so you were only thinking about 4 guys?

got to count AI. Wade has been tough at times, or so they say. fact is, i dont know how hurt these guys are and i think wade is overrated so im not going to get in his corner here.

valid point, but half a season don't make a leopard change his spots.

NBA “stars”, as well as those from the other major sports, are often as tough as their opportunity for post-season advancement require. With little opportunity for realistic advancement most will, and quite often do… phone it in. Save of course the Iverson’s of the sporting world. Kobe has the additional motivation of his first (realistic) post-Shaq era shot at going deep into the playoffs. I expect Kobe will doubtless find a way to remain in the thick of things… short of course of pulling a Ronnie Lott.

some guys are just wired differently. its hard to know just how much pain someone is putting up with, but i noticed Shaqs tune change quite a bit when he was moved about a week ago. He went from being about done to someone that was ready to make a push for a title and give his all. walton really ripped him, deservedly so.
