Default Anyone hear about Brady Quinn yelling at Gays outside a bar in Cleveland?

I heard this on a local morning show this morning. I was wondering if any one else has heard about it. Apparently he and 3-4 other Browns players were outside a restaurant in Cleveland yelling obsceneties across the street at a gay bar and its patrons.

He's came out and denied the accusation, but who would admit that even if it were true? To be honest, I'm actually of the belief that even if he did use those words, we don't know the circumstances. Crucifying the guy is wrong. He's a young kid, so probably wouldn't handle hecklers well, and if you've got alcohol coursing through your veins and a few openly gay guys calling you a pussy all night, human nature is to fire back.

Yeah it was posted on here yesterday and buried beneath layers and layers of other threads by now. Makes me wonder what kind of affects that this will have on his career.

Didn't hear that but did hear or read something to the effect that Cleveland is quietly shopping him around, now that they got their starter. Brady becomes a luxury.

With that lame defense it wouldn't surprise me if they'd try to use him to trade up to get one of the defensive studs that proliferate in this draft. Or even to trade down to get back some of the later round draft picks that they gave away last year to move up to grab the Irish Irish qb.

Then maybe Brady can yell at gays or whoever else in Atlanta, Miami, or . . . .

Is there no end to the indignities suffered by the Golden Domers and their alumni?

Brady Quinn was the classiest guy in college football, coming from Notre Dame.

I'm going to believe him and give him the benefit of the doubt over some \*\*\*\*\*\*

Hopefully they shop him to the Niners for Alex Smith

You think he'll be welcomed by the San Francisco community after a situation like this? Will he be able to walk around at night without being heckled by some effeminate guy and responding by calling him a "\*\*\*\*\*\*"? Should we start calling him "Pags" Quinn?

I'm just going by the fact that my team needs a little bit better QB...I have no idea what the situation was like that brought this about. With the point you brought up would he be able to fit in within any community? He will encounter gays no matter what city he goes to play at. The guy made a mistake...simple as that.

Apparently he's OK in Cleveland and that's fine with me. These types of mistakes are indicative of a mindset. That mindset can be changed on a team where there is veteran leadership to show him the right way to handle his business. This is how NE has remarkable success with unremarkable players. San Francisco is not that kind of team at this point.

Our team does need a little better QB and Brady Bust is not the guy. Unfortunately our team needs a lot more than just a QB. What would best suit us now is an experienced player at that position who is capable of leading the team and showing the young players what it takes to win consistently.

I suppose you are correct there just a little frustrated with the QB and WR positions.

For now we must forge ahead with little more than the memories of a glorious decade. How can we expect any QB to play well with the set of receivers we have? I'm glad you also mentioned the shortcomings at that position, because I think they are even more significant than the QB issues when evaluating this team.

WR is definitely the place to start. The defense has some potential and is just a couple of missing pieces from being a top notch defense.

Default Boys just want to have fun when they are drunk.

I guess the next day when you sober up you start thinking that the fun you had the night before might come back to haunt you where you get blackballed from endorsements and fear sets in.He's probably telling the truth because in this day and age of camera cell phones,he almost certainly would have been caught on camera saying this stuff.

Hmmmm, famous white men get accused of bashing minorities, women, handicapped people and gays 1,000,000,000,000 times and have reputations tarnished.Famous minorities, women, handicapped people and gays in the history of the world have never once been accused of bashing a white man. Those odds make the most reckless gambler cringe.I guess it's just something exclusively in a white mans genes where he slanders people different than him.

First off, isn't this old news? We've had one thread on the subject already, plus it's just making headlines and it allegedly happened on New Year's Day? LINK Also, wasn't it in some establishment in Columbus, not Cleveland proper? I'm sure nobody in Columbus *cough*oh how i hate ohio state*cough* would ever make anything up about a former Fighting Irish QB.

Good call. It's not like some federal prosecutor recently filed an indictment clearly implicating him as a gay basher.
