This could get pretty interesting as to what MLB will do with the Home Run records. Will they get rid of Bonds' totals completely or keep them with an * ?

You ain't kidding Diogee. I figured they'd try to avoid the subject forever. Why don't Waxman and Co. grill Selig over why this info was suppressed for so long? I also wonder if there's any way Joe Blow could file a class action against MLB for hiding all this rampant cheating while the public was shelling out money to watch records get broken "legitimately."

If they did that then their would asterisk next to many of the players from this era...I am interested to see how they do handle the records though.

Very good point BB...It is a little odd that it has been hidden for 7 years and Bonds was never punished. Basically that means that Selig knew the entire time that Bonds lied to congress as well.

EXACTLY! This whole thing pisses me off more by the day. In a way, I'm glad this came out. MLB hid this for as long as they could, they knew there was a problem in the game. Don't let those motherfvckers in the upper office of baseball fool ya. Steroids put asses in the seats. As a matter of fact, drugs and alcohol in general, put a lot of asses in the seats through the years. Nobody talks about Babe Ruth being so drunk he swung and fell on his ass at Yankee Stadium. Why? Cause that was the house the "Babe Built". That stadium was paid off in 5 years by his drunk ass. What about all the pitchers/players that used amphetamines in the 70's and 80's? No one sure as hell brings that up. Now, instead of everyone just keeping their mouths shut, and moving on with stricter testing for steroids, etc... People turn bitch and rat. Now you have the federal government involved, and ALL of MLB is going to look bad from the top down. All this is going to do, is cause people NOT to buy tickets. Remember after the strike? They keep this shit up, it's going to be just like that.

People will always buy tickets. Baseball is America's game. Those who say baseball will suffer because of this are whiny, unrealistic ladies ...

Grow up ... baseball survived 1919 ... and 1994 ... it will survive, and thrive, after this ... believe it ...

SAN FRANCISCO -- Federal prosecutors mistakenly filed court papers Thursday that incorrectly stated that Barry Bonds failed a steroids test in November of 2001 -- one month after breaking the single-season home run mark.
