It was in an email. I don't know if it supposed to be some Netspeak abbreviation or refers to some kind of orgainzation. And hate to show my lack of hipness by asking,

it was used, as in, "I did it PMI and no problem"

If you are from Canada maybe she met PEI for Prince Edward Island. What she did in Prince Edward Island with no problems I guess would be for her to know and you to assume. That's the closest thing I can think of

if you put less than 20% down on a house, typically you have to have PMI. so i guess if the email was in regards to the ways to buy a home w/o putting down 20%, it could make sense.

The email did have to do with postage, and in Mexico.So I'm thinking it's something like Private Mail Insurence, or Postal Mexicanos Insurance.
