Default Would you trade away a family member to settle a debt?

Immediately family is out.

But if I was in over my head, I'd seriously consider handing over an annoying cousin or something to square away a debt. Am I really just a sicko here or do others feel the same way?

That won't be necessary, I'll take you instead and after a night in my bed we'll work out a payment plan.

I have an uncle that over a 25 year period squandered a couple of his sisters future inheritances away.I figure he lost at least a few hundred grand gambling and getting toys bought for him by my grandma for him and his family. When my grandma died, there was nothing left. The guy had a good job too but was totally reckless.I was in Vegas with him once and he did the Chevy Chase can't win a hand thing like in the movie Vegas Vacation losing a ton of money in a couple hours. He was steaming doubling down after a bad beat loss, tripling down, quadrupling down.He was like a man possessed. It's scary watching stuff like that take place and it serves as a lesson that gambling can be dangerous.

Why not just smoke (whack, rub out, take care of...you get the picture) the person you owe money to? Problem solved.

No chance, I'd rather have people knocking on my door than to sell out family or friends.

I have lots of family members I would like to trade but I don't think this is possible in this country.

Under no circumstances. I'm a huge believer in owning up to your word and paying the piper, so to speak. If I bet over my head and I lose, then it's me that must own up to it. Putting your self-created problems on anyone else (no matter how dislikable) is beyond irreprehensible

I would just give away a couple of family members for nothing. Does my ex-wife count. I mean I still have to deal with her and she is the mother of my son, and a dependant. I count her as family. Please somebody come to Allentown and marry this bitch so I don't have to cough up $1300 every month for her to do nothing.
