    Default OT: Favorite sports movie

    1. "Remember the Titans," great message, true story, great soundtrack.
    2. "Brian's Song," another true story and anyone who says they didn't tear up a bit when Gayle Sayers made his speech for Brian Piccolo is a liar.
    3. "Invincable," another true story. I liked Dick Vermille more after seeing this movie.
    4. "Bull Durham," I interviewed Kevin Costner a couple years ago, so I had to include this one.
    5. "Rudy," Another true story - very inspirational for those who think they can't.

A few from my list that echo yours, Nancy.

Long Gone! - My favorite baseball comedy.

Brian's Song - I teared up, and still do, before Sayer's speech when the two are seeing each other for presumably the last time in the hospital.

Bad News Bears - The original, not that crap Billy Bob Dumbass put out recently.

Caddyshack - Former greenskeeper, about to be Masters Champion...

    Hoosiers - I'm a big Hackman fan.

Rudy - Like Hoosiers, incredibly uplifting for me regardless of how many times I see it.

Chariots of Fire - Don't know why I liked this movie from the time it came out, but I do and recently went and bought the DVD.

Damn Yankees! - Have seen this original B&W countless times, and went to see the stage production when it came through Houston back in the 90s mainly because I wanted to see Bebe Neuwirth as Lola. That gal has a great pair of gams. But she wasn't touring with the show, and instead got a treat as Jerry Lewis played Mr. Applegate. He was very good, sort of surprised me.

    It ws a "Cinderella Story"!

I was on a date when I saw that movie and had my first "real kiss" during it. Weird movie for that to happen at, huh?!?

Well, thanks for making me feel older than I already do, Nancy. My first kiss was in 1964, tricked a gal named Susan Adams into it. My jaw is still tender from the ensuing slug she gave me
