neteller feels that 2006 will be a very good year
Isle of Man-based alternative payment provider NETELLER issued its pre-close trading update today, announcing strong fourth quarter customer eceiptrs and new customer sign ups.
The company reported average daily receipts of around US$4.1m during the quarter, compared with US$2.3m during the same period 2004. Q4 average daily receipts from customers was up by 15 % on the Q3 2005 average daily receipts of US $3.64 million.
Average daily receipts from customers for the full year 2005 was US$3.4m, up by 90 % on average daily receipts for 2004 of US $1.8m.
As of 31 December 2005, NETELLER had 2,320,670 signed-up customers, an increase of 1,069,318 or 86 % from 1,251,031, since 31 December 2004.

NETELLER said the 2005 fourth quarter had been very strong in customer receipts and new customer sign-ups. As a result it expected revenues for the full year to be slightly ahead of market expectations and the 2006 FIFA World Cup in June to provide with further with additional revenue and customer acquisition opportunities.
Ron Martin, newly-appointed president and chief executive of NETELLER, said: “NETELLER has continued to show excellent growth across all areas of the business in the fourth quarter and the full year results will demonstrate the continuing strength of the company. Since joining NETELLER, I have been impressed by the depth and experience of our management team and employees. I look forward to capitalising on the many opportunities available to us during 2006 and beyond.”

Neteller would be a stock to invest in, maybe they have a symbol probably in the UK or something. I believe this is Paypal only true competetion. Does anyone know if Neteller is publically trading in the US or else where?

I personally would not invest in Neteller, but you can find more than one thread where I detract from them so I won't go into it too much. To say that PayPal is its competition is a grotesque insult to a decent organization. PayPal is essentially a well-run bank whereas the best thing you can say about Neteller is that it is a somewhat consistent financial service. It is adequate in terms of transferring funds, but soon someone else will come along and offer a better suite of products with better security and more seamless processing, and then Neteller will struggle to maintain its pace. When's the last time Neteller updated or improved its service? When they came out with a "Debit Card"?

I would be amazed if it was bigger than 2005. Mansion account alone had to be worth millions in fees, will be less now. Still to be THE online payment processor in an worldwide environment were gambling is so embraced has to be worth a lot.

Has anyone else noticed that Neteller has had two long, unannounced service outages during overnight hours this week? I called to inquire as to why they couldn't post a simple message warning that the service would be down. Their customer service agent was extremely arrogant and completely unprofessional. She basically told me the site would be down anytime they damn well pleased and if I didn't like it I could go F myself.
Paypal's customer service is even worse. I had a guy from Australia essentially steal a $200 piece of software from me. After I notified him that the item had shipped, he disputed the charge. I sent Paypal my certificate of mailing and they still took the money away from me and gave it to the crook. They refuse to review the case. In another Paypal incident, I had an agent assure me that refunds would be credited from the Paypal account. Later I found that they had charged my bank even though I had ample funds in Paypal. This charge was rejected by my bank and cost me $30, all because the agent lied to me. When I called to complain, the service manager told me it wasn't their responsibility that the agent gave me bad information. This is laughable. How could a manager possibly have the audacity to say that they aren't accountable for the competence of their employees?
The problem with both of these organizations is that there is no legitimate competitor for either of them. For buying and selling on EBay, you basically have no other option but to use Paypal. With gaming transactions, no one comes close to the speed, low cost, ease of use, and universal availability of Neteller. Both companies can afford to treat their customers like because they know the clients have no other choice. Until someone comes along to knock these fat bastards off their thrones everyone has to continue taking their and liking it.

This is an excellent post! I would like to know exactly how much undocumented downtime Neteller experiences. And when it comes to CS, I have also been treated in exactly the same manner by their agents. On more than one occasion I have had to track down my funds on my own when the funds where hanging out in limbo due to one of their outages. Their agents truly seem to not care at all.

Neteller's market is ripe for the taking. I'm positive they have zero merchant loyalty given their exorbitant transfer fees. They just have everyone by the scrotum because they're the only real game in town. It's only a matter of time before someone takes them down.

I like Neteller...i dont know if they have the best CS etc. but they offer all i need for gambling. Bank transfer cashouts are rather fast and cheap, the debit card is an option if I need money faster (and want to pay 2% for it).
I think we can be happy that they were there when paypal quit supporting gambling.

I think Ricky is right. Too mnay people are wasting money trying to start up a new sportsbook or casino. Eventually someone will realize that it makes a lot more sense to to go into the money transfer business. It's just a matter of time, before Neteller is forced toe ither lower their fees or face real competition.
