Default Does anyone think Clemons is innocent?

Honestly, I may be a little cynical but I assume most ball players dabbled in various drugs and steroids. It really is not a big deal to find out now, that some of the stars were using enhancers.

I do prefer a clean sport, kind of makes it hard to compare superstars from different eras when the recent greats are all on the juice.

Rogers numbers got better when he left Boston, and we know why.

Anyone think he s clean?

Clemens is full of shit, but then again I believe Macnamme is too. Both should run for office because each is full of hot air.

I think this is a loaded question. To be "innocent" means there had to be a crime involved. Human growth hormone is not a drug, so there is no question of him being guilty of "illegal drug use". The FDA and the AMA claim that there is no "legitimate" medical use of HGH. That is an out and out lie. They say this because both groups are beholden to the drug companies and the drug companies always persecute any supplement which cannot be patented. I gurantee you that if HGH could be patented there would be television ads 24/7 extolling the miracles of HGH.

At the time that people are claiming he took human growth hormone it was not illegal, and it was not banned by MLB. So, this is a non-issue in the first place.

I haven't heard that he is being accused of using steroids which is a different issue. Someone can correct me on that one if he is being accused of that.

i've had these arguments with friends and people at my local bar about who used and who didn't. My main problem with the whole shit is why Senators and Congressmen and the government give a shit. If its illegal to bet on games, except in the tourist trap Las Vegas, then why does our government give a flying F*#K about who is getting an upper edge in competition. Yes, i know they'll use the "They our role models, the children look up to them", F*#K that! Pro Athletes are paid to put asses in the seats. Baseball knows what has been going on, its only because government is involved that they act like they care. MLB wants to have pitchers throwing 95+ mph heat and hitters knocking 500 Ft. dingers. Any kind of performance enhancing has taken place throughout history for people to get an upper edge, hell cocaine was used rampantly in the 20-30's by the general society, it was found in alot of products, and used as a natural "pick-me up".
and to comment on what Curious said. It is so F*#King true about politicians, if they can't get money from lobbyists working for a big company, then it must be illegal in their eyes.
Theres even some politicians getting involved with the NFL spygate thing. Why the F*#K do they care? Did they bet on these games? I'm sick of taxpayers money and the time wasted by our elected officials, just to see who might of had an upper edge in competition.

But remember everyone, its just a game, its something to be enjoyed for recreational fun. ................hold on.......looking for my sarcasm button........oh the irony and hypocrisy.

after just watching a little over 2 hours of that circus, i really don't know and i REALLY don't give a shit.
I found it funny that the politicians who were grilling Clemens were from MA.
I also enjoyed that Dan Burton guy, he seemed to be the most logical one and you could tell he thought this whole thing was a waste.
I also didn't understand how i'm hearing everything they're saying, but the politicians and Clemens and McNamee and the "potted plant" as he was referred to from one St. Rep., the guy who helped write the Mitchell report, none of them could hear each other. they were constantly making each other repeat stuff.
I also liked how McNamee the former NY cop, just happened to save gauze and syringes in his basement from years ago that he claimed was used on Clemens. WTF! was that about. Who does that?
I also liked when they were grilling McNamee about previous statements made to various newspapers. "was that true?" ,"No", "was this true?" , "no", "oh, so you just lie when its convenient for you." That was some funny stuff.
I still don't understand why the players and trainers are in trouble or having to testify under oath and all this shit. why is NO ONE pointing the finger at MLB, everyone is pointing the fingers at the players. MLB knew this shit, they just turned a blind eye to it.
I also found it humorous when the one St. Rep. spent his allotted time trying to figure out the details of an M.R.I. that Clemens received years ago on his butt. was it a bruise ,or was it an abscess? who cares f*#king cares?
I also enjoyed Clemens recalling being injected with vitamin B-12 from McNamee, and McNamee saying he had never heard of B-12 untill he watched Clemens on 60 Minutes. Come on now, your a trainer and don't know B-12.

this is a circus show!

Apparently the US Congress cares, but I haven't yet figured out why. Until I do, however, I'll continue to enjoy their lack of progress on any other legislation while they're all at the circus.

Always fascinates me about American society -- the way the public loves to build up and create heroes and then throw them under the bus for their amusement.

Leave the man the phuck alone! Who gives a phuck what he put in his arse? Honestly!

Those folks don't vote, but people who hate Roger Clemens and the New England Patriots do.

couple of points here.

1. clemons vs the trainer ( trainer is more believeable and pettite backed the trainers story up so did knobblahgaH).
2. Clemons tried to silence the nanny? wtf is up with that. He tried to get to her first to feed her what to say to see what she knew? He didn't even know she was going to be used against him at that point he just assumed... assumptions are the mother of all ****ups. Regardless what they are...never assume.
3. Trainer story is more blelievable, the evidence is there, clemons good friend backs the trainer up, clemons didn't use hgh but his wife did, but his wife and trainer never had any conversations about the use of hgh... please...

Its harder to believe the trainer would lie about the evidence he's been holding onto for 6-8years than clemons use of hgh and steroids.

Its against his contract to allow anyone other than a team offical to inject him with anything. Meaning if clemons needed a b12 shot he would have gone to the team physician and not his trainer for the injection. Yet clemons was breaking his million dollar contract multiple times by having his personal trainer inject him? That doesn't add up at all. Neither does the clemons being framed and evidence fabricated against him.

I still don't see where you guys are finding all this news about Clarence. The newswires seem silent about him as far as I can find.

Clemons is innocent.

Clemens isn't.

Although, McNamee's story probably isn't 100% true, either.
