Question HOMEFIELD is worth the most points in what sport???

If I had to book it, I would say Mens College Basketball.

Does anyone know how many points its worth in each sport?

Agree that CBB has the biggest home court advanatge, BUT I also feel that it is smaller than it used to be with more games played in bigger arenas and less played on campus.

There is no set number. In the NFL most set it at 3, however in different sports especially in college they vary. I've set some home field lines at 5-6 points before. Some places are tougher to play than others, especially on a homecoming game or something like that. So you have to look at every situation differently IMO.

It really depends on what teams are playing.

In general, homecourt in basketball is worth between 2-5 points, and homefield in football is worth about 3.

In baseball, if your name is Earvin Santana, you're around -190 at home and +200 on the road.

You can hear a pin drop during some basketball games, usually those in shit conferences, so home court may not be worth as much there.

Hopefully any "real" capper also knows that there is a big difference between going from 1.5 to 4.5 and going from 10.5 to 13.5 and that set numbers like 3 are stupid as a result.

    Really, Soccer?

That makes no sense to me. I fail to see how a loud, hostile environment could affect a visiting team that much.

2Pac is right. Soccer home field advantage is a myth. When Tatzikistan played Kirgistan in a match two weeks ago in a hostile environment they managed to win comfortably by wearing ear plugs below their head turbins.

I agree 100%, top two have to be College Basketball, and Soccer. There are however, advantages in other sports, depending on the team. Ex. (Yankee Stadium and Fenway vs. Tropicana, The Black Hole and Lambeau Field vs. LP Field, etc..)
