i like kansas in here...IMO i think kansas is the best team in the nation and iowa st went up double digits against texas in the 2nd but couldnt hold the lead...i just dont see abrams putting up 25 shooting 70% from 3 land against kansas...kansas is a team easily capable of being down 3 with 5 minutes to go and end up winning by 15+...

i've bet ku lines six to seven times this season and have only lost once. i also live in lawrence and watch the hawks religiously so i feel that my read on them is pretty good. i think ku should be favored by eight or nine points here. the only redeeming quality of texas is their guard play- this is compromised when going up against chalmers, robinson, rush, and collins. ku is absolutely dominant down low, and this will only be more apparent when they match up against the horns' big men, who i think lack the mobility to put up a decent fight. as a road favorite from 3 to 6.5 points over the past three seasons, ku is 5-1 ATS. they are also 6-1 ATS after allowing 80 or more points over the same time span. also, ku put up 100 against baylor on saturday without hitting a three-pointer throughout the entire game. all these things added up, along with my gut feeling about this team that's been arguably spot-on this season, i'm going to pick ku minus the points, betting up to 3 units for tonight.

KU is the way to go here fellas. The games where UT has struggled, Augustin has struggled and in Chalmers and Russell Robinson - the Jayhawks have the guards to keep him in check. Unless someone like AJ Abrams really goes off ... I think KU handles this by 6 or 7.

Agree, KU beats a weaker TX team by 8+ points. I just don't think home court will keep TX in this game. Kansas should run them pretty easy in my opinion.

I like it here. Kansas has huge points potential and this rivalry always brings an extra level of energy. Plus the over has hit 7 of the last 9 times they've met.

Curious if anyone else is leaning towards it.

Great writeup, I love hearing from local fans who follow one team closely, their input is often invaluable and unique.

I admit if I had to bet this game I would take Texas at +5.5, without question, but I'm not.

should be a great game. I am hoping to get +6 or so if possible. Pinnacle is at +5.5 right now and usually some of the square books may have +6 about an hour or before tipoff. I do concede that KU is a great team and can easily blow UT tonight...but I think UT plays inspired and will have a very strong home court tonight.

I think also, that Santa Clara is a great bet tonight, much stronger than UT.....
