I am new here and I may be a culprit, but I think too many people are posting their plays in the "Players Talk" forum, when they should really be posting them in the individual sports forums. I have done it too; usually a Tennis or 2nd half play. But I have posted some regular plays here and I set a bad example.

I think we should try to post all our sports plays in the individual sports forums, and maybe leave the "Players Talk" forum for gambling related threads and other important stuff. I think we can leave the BEST BET thread there for everyone to participate in because it involves all the sports, so we cant designate it to any single sports forum.

Maybe an occassional Entertainment Pror or Horse or Tennis or Soccer or Golf selection can be posted here because not many people will find it if they are posted in their own sports section.

Gambling related threads in Players Talk? Have you actually READ any of these idiotic threads. Players talk is used for three purposes: JJ and his disciples, people harassing me, and totally off the wall nonsense.

but you are right....there are some very strange ones there too.

not going to happen. hard to enforce it...the mods used to move the threads, but i think now they just gave up and let people do whatever they want.

i remember during the baseball season, i would post some picks in the player section. the mods will leave the thread there then move it to the baseball section after the game is over.

I hardly ever just enter a certain forum anymore. I use the new post button so everything will show up at once.

i got a warning from ganchrow couple of days ago for calling jj a jew. so yeah, they still monitor this forum.

We came up with the linking system, because people would get upset if we moved threads to the "proper" forums. So with the linking system, or slink as we call it, it keeps the thread in the started forum but links it to the proper one when a mod does so. So when its replied to in either forum, it gets bumped to the top of both forums.

So yes, we are still here.

I like the linking system a lot.

The only way for people to stop posting all their plays in the "Players Talk" section is for them to actually STOP posting their plays in the "Players Talk" section.

It won't happen overnight. But I think eventually it will.

At least I hope so.

The occassional play isnt the end of the world. But the daily plays can start a trend we dont want to see.

Didn't mean to take a shot at the mods you guys are doing your jobs. But we are just lacking a good core of posters at this forum. It was different when I first joined.

I didn't take it as one, but just wanted to give a heads up on how things went. Its a lose/lose situation on most things for mods.

Looker, I have alot of respect for you & appreciate (among other things) your NBA injury info, however to reward/cave in to those who don't follow protocol and get "upset" about it when they're reprimanded at the expense of those who do follow protocol doesn't seem like a very logical course of action.

Thats right. I cant wait till bases. The baseball forum should be top notch.
