Default Lost a couple of big ones. Out of commission for a while.

I've made two big NHL wagers (spot plays) in the last two weeks, both losers.
These were the only bets I've made in the last three weeks other than a small (winning) Superbowl play.

In the past I would go on tilt and try to make more bets to get back what I lost, not anymore, I'm learning how to take a loss and move on, plus I have car & insurance payments to cover this week.

I'll admit that I'm a gambler first - I don't bet a small % of my bankroll and try to grind out a winning season, I go for the kill and sometimes I get killed.

So I'm not going to make another bet until next weekend, gotta clear my head and stay focused.

Live and learn. For me I always learn the hard way.

If you want to make the big kill, that's how to do it but I like money management. This keeps me going every day.

Most guys here are tilt bettors and out of the game very fast. I can go on tilt but I have bank loan resources to keep coming back.

I'm finding hockey a little more difficult this year compared to previous years. One of the games I lost heavily on was Anaheim at St. Louis, no score at the end of regulation, no score in overtime, St. Louis scored twice in the shootout, Anaheim didn't score. Anaheim was also shutout their next game, then went on to win 3 in a row, I missed the boat.

Nothing is worse than watching the team you made a big wager on not put a single puck in the net in 3 hours.

I might take your advice and tail some of the hoops cappers, I'm very cold at the moment.

Betp, I find hockey the toughest sport to cap. I think you are wise for taking a breather and not chasing. Hope you come back strong.

Congrats Betplum. Not on loosing but on the mature way your handling it. Some people never learn that one. P.S. my PM is now working again. Sent u message a week ago about Rush coming to Ft Lauderdale in April. Can't wait to see them again. I was too ripped when they toured in June and hardly remember the show. Think this time ill be a little more sober.
