Question Why do you think people post their plays?

    to help people?

    for their own ego?

its a place they can track their own plays?

    other agenda?

I can tell you why I do it. So that my win/loss % is a matter of public record. And, so that I will meet people who have intelligent things to say about handicapping.

I think thats most everyones thinking but its sad when someone offers a play and losses and gets blasted by a few jerks on a site seen it happen.

for the most part I don't post plays. I rarely even read people's plays. I do my own thing and that's it. When I do post a play it usually is the kiss of death anyways.

That is precisely why I am building a public record. I'm going to build a public record in NCAAB, MLB, and NCAAF for one season each and if they are all > 70% win/loss I am going to launch a paid site.

    One season? Ha.

Also if you can hit 70% then you can retire in style.

    Good luck with that.

The two reasons I believe are ego and feedback. You can tell by the way the post is phrased which is which.

If they are all 70 % or better you do not need your own site you could retire in a few years. But if you do hit 70% over a season you are the best and alot better than me or most or ALL

    You too?

Kidding aside, I always post my plays after I bet them, so I have nothing to lose by posting some of them for your entertainment.

Plus, there are also the contests.

Greek, unless you got an inheritance recently I don't see how you can survive gambling by hitting 30%?

    Follow me or fade JJ.

LT I like your picks a lot. I wish more people post their picks like you do with a good write-up. It helps read thru some angles I haven't considered.

You did get my joke so I won't pick on you anymore.

If you are being sarcastic because I often post plays with no analysis, you can get my analysis on the two best plays in the parlay contest, and if someone asks why I like a specific game, I usually respond with a brief analysis ASAP.

My NCAAB picks are > 70% this season. They are a matter of public record.

Selling picks helps to smooth out variance. Variance is the death of all bettors.

My NCAAB picks this year are over 70%. Everyone says "that can't last" but day in and day out they come through.

I'm not sarcastic. You are the only guy I know that posts his picks on the front page. Believe it or not the first thing I read in the morning is the front page before I enter the forum and your write-ups are always posted early. Keep up the good work. How can you post your picks on the front page? I'm interested in doing the same.

I laughed because ONE season means nothing really.

    But nice job this year.

In terms of getting people interested in joining a paid service, a public record of > 70% in one season isn't too shabby. That is all I meant.

A 70% picker with a starting bankroll of just $1,000, playing 3/4 Kelly has an expected bankroll of $6.597778555379773e+22 and a medium bankroll of $14,104,208,323,795,102 after just 500 plays.
