Whoever came up with this total should be fired immediately. These two teams hate each other to the bone and their last 6 contensts resembled ultimate fighting matches with no game coming even close to 150 points (they played some games under 100 points if you believe it).

I can go for hours on how much I love this play but then if I lose the ghosts will come out of the closest to bust me.

Sorry I had to pointed out ... but hey ... Its at least to good posters that are agreeing on this ... biggest point here is that it was such good material that both had to open up threads!

What makes you say the total is off? UMASS is 3rd in the country in possessions per game, URI 27th. This could easily be a game with 80+ possessions, meaning if both teams shoot a reasonable %, this game could sail over with ease. Prior meetings are of little significance because UMASS, in particular, with players like Lasme and Freeman anchoring the defense, wasn't playing at a similar pace in prior seasons. I'd look no further than last week's UMASS/Duquesne game for an indication of how tonight's game could play out.
