Well folks, the last 2 days I have gone 7-1 on posted pics. Today, we do one game.....and one game only. 20 unit bet.

Take Rhode Island @ Umass UNDER 170

All profits from last night are going into this game.
Why might you ask? Here it is.

If we go by the scores to each teams in the last 10 games, the average game score for RI is 156.2. The average score for a Umass game is 161.2

In all games, the posted o/u has only posted 170+ on 3 occasions, Umass is 2-0 when it does, and RI is 0-1 when it does.

RI Offense avg 82.2 pts
UMass Defense avg allows 78.1
UMass Offense avg 83.2
RI Defense avg allows 71

When we look at the past 20 games (10 per team), the total score has gone 170 5 times (4x in Umass games, 1x in RI games).

Against a horrible STL team, Umass put up 59 points and RI put 61.

Against Dayton, Umass put up 82 and RI put up 83

The score will be no higher 150.

I'm not sure I understand the logic with the St.Louis references. If you don't watch STL, they are a slow tempo team with a top 15 ppg against at 59 per game. If you base totals on this game from STL, that doesn't compute to me. Why not throw in the two Syracuse match-ups where the totals were over 180? That would be a more appropriate stylistic match-up in my opinion.

I'm passing on this game, but even though the total is high - these two teams could easily play over. Best of L to yooze guys on the under.

You may win but the total is set a 170 for a reason. Umass has play 70+ possession teams like RI to 88, 86, 84, 90, 77, 81 possession games. Each of these teams is very efficient on offense averaging 1.1 point per possession. An 85 possession game is entirely possible and if that occurs your bet may be toast.

171 is equivalent to a 225+ NBA total Line, A lot of uncontested buckets and early shooting fouls required for this thing to go over. Like the play
