In response to your question, yes, administrators do have back end access to the forum. In this particular instance, there was no "hacking" ... just a quick silly edit of an avatar that has long since been restored to its original condition. Unfortunately, I made a judgment error in thinking it funny to see Jamie_UK's avatar animated in his very posts denouncing animated avatars. This mistake lies squarely on my shoulders and for that I apologize.

The seriousness of the offense is not the silly editing of an avatar. It is the invasion of privacy by looking up someones password which may be used for criminal intent. It's like going to the bank to make a deposit with your ATM and the teller tells you let me type your password for you.
