Don't get your hopes up.
Democracy, i.e. the voting process, in this country has been, and is being hacked.
Literally.
It's a farce.

There's no reason for any hacking to take place. The Democratic elite have set it up so they can override any close decision by the primary voters and have it go any way they want it to via their superdelegates. Why go to the trouble of hacking machines when you can just confuse the idiots while they think they're making a difference?
Vote or Die!

I am caucusing for Obama today. First time I have been involved in politics in my life. I think he is the best option for president, but yeah, I have money on him too LOL.

Sensible, more outside the mainstream of the traditiional two party lobbying machine, not Hillary, not a Republican, decriminilize marijuanna, get us out of Iraq.

Those don't seem like compelling arguments. It's more of the same that we continuously hear from him. Sure, we all know he's going to try to -change- things but what exactly is the scope of that. Change just for change yields disaster.
Decriminalization of marijuana is such a fringe issue and so far outside the scope of the office that it is a 100% certainty that there will be no -change- on that front.
Getting us out of Iraq may have its merits, but the real issue is how that should be done. We're finally yielding some positive results with that project and your suggesting we should put the reins in the hands of someone who has no military training or experience. Someone whose only focus is to remove our presence there and effectively destabilize the region once again. While Obama had a winner with this issue 6 months ago, things have changed and he's going to have to come up with something better if he wants to win the ultimate prize.
This is my problem with Obama. He speaks inspirationally about generalizations based exclusively on change. A lot of style and very little substance.

Can hardly wait for the era of Obama & Osama.

Now that's the tough question. As is often the case, it comes down to selecting based on who I dislike the least. I anxiously and apathetically await the appearance of a true outsider. Based on what is currently available, I would go with Clinton on the left side and McCain over on the center/left ticket. Although both disgust me, they seem to have the most pragmatic approach to the issues and more importantly they are least likely to destroy the fragile economy, which will ultimately become the biggest issue of the general election.

I think you have a good chance of both being the nominees. Pragmatic isn't bad, but I feel like we have had "pragmatic" (read: polictically connected, part of the political machine, lobby driven) for too long. Pot might be a small issue, but honestly, the fact that a legit canadite has a good chance to win while having what I consider is the correct view of the issue, while long being seen as so extreme is a big deal to me. Truth is too scary for most people who run for president, they focus group it, they run it by the drug companies, and then they just shut up about it.
