    Default Why no moss

I know the giants are rolling coverage to him but if thats the case you need to dink and dunk welker/stallworth more. They kept trying to hit these 10-20 yd plays all game long. What happened to all that quick hit stuff the patriots were doing at the beginning of the season? it really opened up the passing game for them.

This game they didn't hit moss until the 4th quarter. No screens no, slants to him, no reverses, he's a playmaker people need to think your going to go to him to help open other guys out. I don't care if there are 3 guys on him, you still have to occasionaly go to him and set the tone by starting it off with getting moss involved otherwise they won't think he's going to be much of a factor.

Getting moss going = better running game = better welker/stallworth/gaffney/faulk.

Patriots for once had a terrible gameplan or they didn't execute worth a damn . Name one reason why people should have respected moss the whole first half? He wasn't involved at all. ( I know they rolled coverage to him, but still wasn't involved).

O-Line was buried. Running game was shut down because of this. Double coverage on Moss didn't help. Welker tried to carry his team but failed.

Yeah I agree with "Deuce"... Moss runs longer routes which takes more time... They knew they may not get the time but what I can't understand is why they ran so much...

The game was REALLY SHORTENED by the Giants which gave them the advantage... To boot the Patriots were adding to shorting the game and ran the ball more then I thought they would... They could have make it longer by picking up the pace and going "no huddle"... I could not understand why they didn't throw them off in the game and go "no huddle"...

    Odd stratagy by "Bella-Pissed"....

Moss doesn't have to run a long route. Name someone who can cover him alone out on his own side of the field. He can do a out/in/slant/comeback/quick screen hit.

quick passes would negate the giants run attack. ND tried it vs OSU at the end of the game 3 step drops fast pace up temp pass plays that are quick and to the point.

After spygate was exposed every Patriot player looked mortal. It's very easy to get open when you know the defense's plays before the ball is snapped. The Giants disguised their defense so good noone noticed the flying pidgeons that were delivering the plays to their defense.

    ?

It was exposed during the first half of the Jets game opening week. They won 18 in a row, had an undefeated regular season, shattered many records, and lost in the Super Bowl. They did slow it down later in the year, but they were kicking serious ass well after Spygate.

They were not kicking ass at all. Six of there blowout wins were against Miami, Jets and Buffalo three of the worst AFC teams. They miraculously came back to beat Colts at Indianapolis, needed a last minute drive on 4 and 6 to beat Baltimore after Baltimore coach screwed up the timeout, needed a last min drive to beat Eagles and a last min drive to beat Giants. The only blowouts they had were against inferior teams. Sometimes, you have to see through the smoke to see how lucky they were to get undeafeated.

I agree I think the colts would have gotten revenge a 2nd time around.

Dink and dunks were over the middle against soft LB. They always stayed away from moss...always to welker... I don't get it. If you get moss on short dinks dunks they have to press coverage him if they press coverage moss its 1 on 1. CB gets beat and then its just Brady getting the ball before the saftey can come over the top to help.
