Default Too many dumbfvcks play poker

I'm playing a ring game at the boat and I raise my small blind. Big blind folds and this other guy who is way out of position calls the raise. Long story short, I flop a flush with Q-J of clubs. The other guy, who had no business in the hand called my initial raise with K-2 of clubs. He wins the hand. Poker on the boats is joke anymore. That hand sealed the deal. I also had aces cracked 3/4 times.....unfvckinreal.

Don't mean to throw oil on the fire but actually K-2 is the fav preflop... How people where in the hand before your raise? not sure I like the play of raising preflop with Q-J in the small blind when it only cost half a bet to see the flop and you have to act first the rest of the rounds... then again with that flop I guess it probably doesn't make that much difference, huh?

i recently got back on party poker (the .50/1) tables and so far i'm up 31 bucks. but with the way things go over there i don't know what to expect. sometimes pocket pairs scare me because it always seems like when i have one somebody else does too

I would agree with that. The ole rake makes it tough but if you could get those guys over in a home game you could spank them. A pair of 9's winning a big pot where 4 guys stay in untill the end... I find chit like that amazing.

I certainly don't think raising in small blind with QJs is an obvious play (you are about as out of position as possible). Is what makes the game so fun. We can all play like dumb fuks or great depending on our own perspective and in the end the only thing that matters is who gets the money.

What limits were you playing, Ill? And what boat? Seems like I'd like this game.

The good thing is you were playing alive game. Had this been on-line you would have walked away feeling cheated.

    You have two choices.

Play against bad players that need to get lucky to win.

    OR

Play against good players and you be the one that needs to get lucky.

    Pretty easy choice.

    Aces,

kind of of topic, I apologize...see croyle play this weekend?...was a little dissapointed with all of the sacks I saw him take late...didn't have the line to blame this time...the guy had a great career, no doubt...just don't think he's NFL material at this point...
