Im sure he was there, it was just cooler to show Peyton, or maybe Archie asked not to be shown on TV since this is about his son.......He is a class act and I can see him doing something like that.

There are lower suites at those games, like private rooms. Very easy to stay out of view. Why didn't he sit next to Peyton? He must have been in the same area, just in a back room.
