Default To all pats fans, they will be Back! Watchout 2008

The pats will recover from this lost and come back even stronger. Seeing this lost was as shocking as seeing my 13-3 96' broncos choked to a 9-7 2nd year expansion jacksonville jaguars that no one in hell gave a chance to win. After that lost, Shannon Sharpe was quote saying "it will take me until the year 2000 to recover from this lost". As a lifetime fan I thought I would never get over it. They end up winning it all the following year and all was forgotten. The Pats will do the same next year, I mean who in the AFC is really better than them.

It might be better to lose a couple in the regular season gets the pressure off of you.

Was hoping for some team to replace the 72 Dolphins tired of hearing about them.

Of course they will , they are still one of the greatest dynastys ever in any sport, and they have plenty more wins ahead of them over the next several years. They will contend for the SuperBowl for the next several years.

the Pats might have what they call the Super Bowl hangover the next season, I don't think they will be as good because teams have figured out what can beat them now. I think the Chargers are going to be very tough since now they have playoff experience now and they got a taste of playoff football now, they will be very good next season. Look out for them! I say look out for the Jags also. The AFC is stacked and that is for sure. It is just awsome that the Giants beat New England and it sure is great to see someone that racked up the points against teams this season and how arrogant that they were, it just served them right to losing the Super Bowl.

I think they may be spend for a season. They had no fun along the way. They're drained. They showed those signs in the playoffs. A healthy Chargers team most likely would have taken them out, and probably will next year.

Respectfully disagree. As great as the Patriots are, I don't see another trip to the Superbowl anytime soon. Superbowl losers usually have a terrible season the following year.

Super Bowl losers are usually a good team to be against the following season without a doubt. I just think they will have the Super Bowl hangover.

Need to revamp the D. They are old and it showed last night.

As a Steeler fan, I felt the truth in that.

I don't believe so. Superbowl hangover will get them . They have been exposed. Well they do play in a weak division. But the other teams have to get better.

Unless the Patriots launch a spy satellite in orbit in the near future to spy on other teams practices and signs during or before the game I don't see them going to another superbowl. The bubble has burst and the cheaters were exposed.

Yeah, 18-1 teams are a bad bet to go to the super bowl again the next season.

The Pats will sure up the secondary, get a little faster at linebacker, and maybe sign another offensive lineman (When the one guy went down, his backup was dismal!!!).

I'd still make them about 3/1 to win it next year.

Plus there is the curse of losing the Super Bowl and not making the playoffs the next year

Patriots won't have a magical season like this year, but they will rebound and make the playoffs, maybe going 11-5 or whatever. The Patriots get the Dolphins, Jets & Bills twice each, as well as the NFC & AFC west: Broncos, Chargers, Raiders, Chiefs, Seahawks, 49ers, Rams, Cardinals. The Patriots will probably have the softest 2008 schedule of any NFL division winner from this year.

But, I also agree that this team continues to get older and their window is closing fast. It will take a lot for the Patriots to continue to hang with the top tier teams in 2008. But, they've shown historically that they can find gems in the draft and free agency, as well as letting go when their own players price tag is too high.

So, don't expect 16-0 or even 13-3 from the Patriots next year. Probably 11-5 or 12-4 and no first round bye. Expect the Chargers to be the one taking the #1 seed, with maybe a "suprise" team getting the #2 seed such as Steelers, Browns, Jags, etc.

They will be back, and they should clinch home field again. Colts aren't getting better until they address the Marvin Harrison situation, and the D is still suspect. Chargers have Norv Turner, I don't believe he will ever get to the big game and LT is like Barry Sanders in the playoffs; ineffective in games that count. You can probably make a case for Jacksonville, but their offense is just not explosive enough to get them far in the playoffs.

Unlike previously Superbowl losers, this team still has the same core of offensive players for 2008, and Moss will definitely be back. Do a little tuning at linebacker, certain areas in the secondary, via the draft or free agency and they should be dominant again. With two sure lock first ballot hall of famer, I just don't see them having a hangover effect. Their chemistry is just too good not to rebound from this.

    Bruschi is old as hell
Seau is done he's damn near 40 (wait hgh)
    Moss is free agent
I believe a couple of linemen need new contracts...

Basically the patriots have an aging defense and they need more athletic O-linemen

They will be back with a tougher schedule and some coaches that want revenge against them for the humiliation they suffered this year. Brady will eat more grass next year than my pet goat.

They'll be able to intimidate their opponents by waving their Big Red Ribbon. The field will catch up to them next season but they'll still have a bye week in the playoffs before they have to hang their heads again and celebrate another losing parade.

The only thing that can slow them down is if Brady gets hurt. Otherwise, even in a off year, they will win 11 games in that division.

Plus, Pick No. 7 in the first round will help. I think the Pats need to refocus on the running game.
